NAME: Michael Skinner’s Ultimate 3 Card Monte
PRICE: $10
TYPE: Close-up
ANGLES: surrounded
EXAMINABLE: No, but cards are shown fairly, front & back
RESET: Instant
WHAT YOU GET: 3 Hoyle back cards and step-by-step instruction book.

EFFECT: You display 3 cards. An Ace of hearts, a two of clubs, and a three of clubs. The cards are placed face down in a row. Three times the You ask the audience to follow the ace and three times the ace is not where it appears to have been placed. Each phase is stronger than the last. In the last phase one of the cards is removed and placed face down on the table. An ace and a two are shown to be the remaining cards in hand. The audience makes a guess at which of the two remaining cards is the ace. It turns out that neither are the ace, the ace turns out to be the previously removed card laying on the table!

COMMENTS: This is a very fast and visual experience and totally baffles people. It is easy to learn and perform and NO sleights are used! The cards cannot be examined but can be switched to examinable cards without people realizing it. This is not a problem though, since you fairly show both sides of the cards throughout the routine (examinable, non gaffed cards were included with my set to swap out with at the end). An instruction book is included that contains a step-by-step routine as well as a plastic wallet to carry the cards in. The only thing people may not like is the cards included are good quality Hoyle, not Bicycle. They can made on Bicycle cards if you want. This really isn’t a big problem though because people don’t really notice the type of cards anyway.

RATING: 9/10
