New VAT rules from 1/1/15

Anyone in Europe selling eBooks or delivering digital products should be aware that the rules have changed regarding the amount of VAT you can charge.
You must now charge VAT at the rate of the purchaser's country and not the seller's country.
If you were VAT exempt in one country you may not be VAT exempt in those other countries.

I predict a lot of people will stop producing eBooks and go back to traditional paper products.

Paul Voodini will only sell direct to certain countries, other customers can buy via US sites. Kennedy has stopped all direct sales completely.

I had an email from Paul Voodini a few days ago to say he was no longer selling to EU customers not from the UK from his Reader of Minds site. But that he will continue to supply EU countries via Lybrary.com and Penguin.
It is ridiculous, an organisation set up to make inter-state trade easier, has become a barrier to inter-state trade unless it is via a non EU website.

Sorry rereading that. I made no sense. Paul said he will supply UK, American & Canadian customers ( who make up most of his customers) from his own readers of minds website. All other other EU customers need to use Lybrary.com and Penguin.
