Display help required

At The Session last weekend I saw Michael Murray perform his OOTW from his recent book (which is great BTW, review coming at some point) but I am having some trouble following the instructions for the display. If anyone has the book and can help with some tips I would be grateful. If you pm me with a question about the book so I can prove I have it perhaps we can chat!
I did not own the book when I saw him do it otherwise I'd have asked directly!
