Who's heard of...?

Postby MrCat » Jan 19th, '15, 16:18

I just had a funny one on FB...

Call me crazy but I was trying to find Derren Brown on there a while back, and wrote a message to this one profile supposedly the man... That was a few months ago, so today I just got a 'friend request accepted' from someone by another name I'd never heard of, also inviting me to like his new page 'Mentalism Consultant'...I checked it out, and it's this guy called Nefesch, I looked up one of his youtube vids...he's very very cool! And he's selling some effects.

Just wondered if he's someone everyone else has heard of haha, and what you reckon to his effects...? They look amazingly priced, and just amazing from here :)

He still never replied to my message tho :\

Heard of but not got any of his stuff. If you want an interesting read have a look at the reaction to his "hug" release! Some have been better received...

Nefesch has some very good ideas out there. I know some of his effects haven't always gone down too well but when ever I've had anything to do with him, I've always found him to be a really nice guy with some very good ideas.

Hmmmm intriguing. I only watched his 'blackout' on youtube with 'your mobile, any contact and your imaginary card'. I like that! :) I'll have a further look.

Shame we don't get much mobile reception round here :D

Haha, ok I've looked up 'hug'... You gotta be flexible huh, not well met by the looks. I'm taking a guess from reviews of blackout there's some kind of force suggestion involved maybe, but does anyone else here ever wonder if they're missing something when you see a great vid then read a review that says "this is a really great one to totally fool the layman..." :)

I've a couple of his DVDs, The Magic Of Nefesch... And this thread has inspired me to rewatch them!

To be honest, the production values of them were so bad that I found them to be pretty much unwatchable! I was trying not to let it get in the way of the magic... But it was to easy to put a glossy new Big Blind Media disc in instead!

Looks like I'll give them another go :)

Let me know how that one goes Chris! If they're still that bad I could maybe sling you a few quid for them :) I'm interested in blackout I think but I quite like his style so far, the quailty on youtube is a bit rubbish too but I guess production values aren't everything, ...(unless you're trying to sell something as professional!)
