Watch it anyway. You will see some master pickpocketing and a card trick which enables you get into people's pockets. But watch the whole thing. You will learn showmanship as well as card magic and pickpocketing.

What you're referring to is anchoring, look it up. It's easy to get people used to you doing certain actions.
