question about the trick. I hope this is safe to ask but is it a gimmick or is it like a trick like "Revalution coin vanish" where its just something you learn.

I'll answer that for you... it's a little bit of both. You receive "something" in the package that makes the effect look as clean as it does, although you could easily work out a handling without it. Sorry to be so vague, but I don't want to expose anything.

Just to add my two pennies worth - I bought this, and am very pleased with it. It took a few days of practice (and by a few days, I mean a few days of SOLID practice!) to make it look finished, but the end result is well worth it.

I think handing out a regular bottle that has a regular coin inside (which can not be removed) appeals to all magicians!

Also, just to share a little tip, I've been doing this by drawing a little ship on the coin with a marker pen, and then doing the think to a "Ship in a bottle" presentation, and it adds some length to the routine.

Cheers,

Liam.

Just want to make one thing clear before I succumb to CUPS.
Is there a switch of coins ?

nota switch exactly, no gimmicked coin, no gimmicked bottle, just spmething in between. Very fiddly, if anybody DOES have any tips for the trapping the coin part i would like to recieve a PM :) Ty

Good idea about the sinking ship, Montz :D

I agree, and also, by using a gimmicked "aardvark" ring, you can completely abolish both of the gimmicks. That way, you are completely clean immediately, and can immediately give the bottle out for a thorough (spelling!) examination.

Just my 2p ( no pun intended  )

I too had problems setting this up, the instructions make it sound a lot easier than it really is.
Though after about an hour and many swear words i figured out a way which seems to work alright, it can still take a few attempts but it generally works alright.

many swear words
It's good see you use 'magical incantations' as well, I find 'Oh, Abracasoddit' to be very effective.

can you use a glass bottle or only plastic?
I'm actually thinking about this one as the normal coin in a bottle is my favorite and one that all my friends ask me to do when we're out. One guy figured it out, (he's very logically minded) so it would be great to stump him and leave him with the bottle to play around with all night.

Hi,

This can only be done with plastic bottles unfortunately, but it does give some ideas as to what you could do with a glass bottle.

Hope that helps

You're kidding right?
I'm new here as well but I know for a fact you won't find anyone here that will tell you how it's done.
Not to be rude or anything but how about a post in the introductions thread telling everyone about yourself before just jumping in and asking people to expose secrets. The invention of magic effects is the livelyhood of many magicians and asking people to just give you the secret is wrong on so many levels.
