is it the same card that is used each time? if so, not great for the hobbyist who might show the same trick to the same people over time and they could remember the card that was used

It's NOT the same card selected by / shown to the spec each time!

Therefore, this makes it an ideal trick to show in a sitaution where some specs may see a second performance.

You DO need to watch the angles but that's why the boards are the size that they are, anabling you to take a step back from your specs when you start to perform. Some basic audience management will suffice.

Thanks dat8963,
Are there any difficult moves? I am not too keen at palming a card yet.

There is one move that is required that will take practice but isn't too difficult = perhaps on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being hard) I'd say it was a 2. The tuition on the DVD (or CD ROM (can't remember which it is)) is good and it's just a matter of practice and confidence.

This one is well worth the money in my opinion but only if you're intending to perform.

Never saw of this effect until now, it looks sheer amazing, what with the story line and then the reveal as to why the mouth was not opened, brilliant.

Now, did I hear that this is better/easier to perform on stage than Close-up?
What about performing at say a party, or in a one-to-one situation of performing?

Jon performed this to groups of about 12 or so at the Ipswich Magic Day in 2005.

In my opinion it works better on stage but it can be performed close up. You just have to take a little more care at close quarters.

I had this performed to me in a close up situation at Pure Magic bar in Manchester. I was blown away and had no idea what it was called.

Very nice trick, I might invest at somepoint. Holding my self back with magic purchases but i loved it both times I saw it being done.

Reading through this thread, I can't see any description of the actual effect, the original review misses that part out completely!
For some reason, I can't get the video to play, so could someone enlighten me as to what the effect is?

I perform stage magic quite a bit and anything that fits into that could be of use to me.

Before buying, just make sure you have the acquired taste for a card in your mouth for the several minutes required - yes, it really is in there all the time! Some people found this a very difficult thing to do, others had no problem.

Well basically, the Magician takes a small book out from his jacket and without saying a word starts to turn page after page.......the audience follow the instructions, along with the comedic routine and eventually select a card..............

and bingo bango, that card is in the Magicians mouth hence their mouth was shut the entire routine(and the card really is in there from the beggining)

Hope that helps x
