I just want to tell you a little story:

Yesterday a friend was visiting me and I used these cards. He was watching real close AND he examined the backside of the cards - but he couldn´t see anything. I would say these cards are fantastic!!!

What do people think about the 3SP routine.

The very first stage where the person picks a card. Does anyone else think this is "too good". I haven't performed for anyone yet, but do think that it might bring "marked cards" into the mind of the spec. whereas some of the other effects/stages are a bit less transparent.

...why not just do a warm-up first?

5 cards each and you both try and guess each others...and do it for real (or just guesss 3 out of 5), that way it should suggest that you arent using marked cards, just warming your brain up...

I just received those at my office and wow !
Good quality cards (the black backs are awesome) the 32page booklet is excellent.
Since I have 0 experience with marking cards and marking systems I tried to see if I could identify it. No luck !
Once I read the instructions I could see them (not very easily in the beginning but with some practising it will be very easy).
Can't wait to go home and practice.
And last but not least, it was my first purchase from magicbox and I'm very pleased even though paypal was not listed on their site the provided me with a paypal account to do the transaction , shipping costs to Greece was perfectly normal and the shipping was extremely fast ! Thumbs up !

Excellent cards, good routines.
Top marks from me also.

I also got them from magicbox and can't fault their prices or delivery.

Have had these a while too.
top marks from me. Solid routines and many other possibilities.
Virtually undetectable, not been caught yet despite extremely close scrutiny at times.
I have shown many tricks to a friend of mine. He is a very bright bloke and an extremely good test to my magic. I can usually get most things past him fine, however, when using these it was the first time I actually witnessed him visibly unnerved!
They leave no straws left for people to grasp at.

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

Just a short comment. My eyes aren't the best. If I am starring at the cards I still cannot be certain of the markings. I have had to make additional marking on the back of the cards in order to "read" them. To use any marked cards the identity of the card should be quick and easy.
A normal spectator should not suspect markings and would not be looking for them if the presentation is adequate. For regular cards I use either the Ultimate Marked Deck which I consider the best for me or Ted Lesley's deck.

I also have trouble with the markings - so much so that I've never had the courage to use my set.

I think that the reading of the backs does come with practice. If I am going to use the deck I will sit with it for a while before just reading and checking. The reading is extremely subtle but that is what makes this so powerful. Nobody spots it. I have a niece who genuinely believes I can read her mind because I could match here spread of cards perfectly. Great deck with huge potential.

I think it was Richard Osterlind that said that he finds it easier in some ways to "see" the cards from further away.

Experiment with different distances. Look at a pair at one end. Then a pair at the other.

Sometimes its best to trust your gut instinct and first thought. I find I sometimes talk myself out of the correct "reading" if I stare too many times.

Just ordered this last night in a bout of CUPS.
Thought I'd never heard of it before, but I must have seen this thread title and had it lodged into my subliminal conciousness.
Can't wait for it to arrive now after reading this thread.

Fantastic product. Well worth the money. Good quality props and solid routines.
I can see me getting some mileage out of these little wonders.

HI,

My first post,

I'd just like to add that these cards I find are fantastic. I bought them some time ago and I spent a good few hours just learning the system so that i could repeat the tricks.

Easy to do while watching the telly or something and eventually you'll get it with a snap glance. Practice i guess, as with all magic, is the key.

Something I do and I think some one else mention is hold the card in front of me towards the spectator and ask them to concentrate on the symbol and transmit to that to me. This does two things

1. They never suspect it could be marked in any way shape or form as they pick them up and believe they may be see through instead

2. It gives you all the time in the world to check your reading.

I do this for three of the cards in a very simple routine and the other two I guess when they lay them out but it's not really guess work so you can move your selection around.

Well worth the investment at this price, I have one card that is slightly smudged where the marking us (manufacturing error) So I got this wrong quite a bit at first but now I've just learnt that card

9/10 for me

I feel like using cards that no spectator has seen before (for the most part) automatically breeds suspicion.... does it not??

As well-- I don't know if the ESP thing goes with my style-- have all of you been using a psychic kind of patter---- or a more "believable" ... muscle-reading kind of patter?? Would they work for both do you think?

--i mean if you're going to do a muscle-reading kind of presentation... might your spectator wonder why you're not just using a pack of bikes?

...still, the reviews have been great-- and i think without such great marks i wouldn't even be contemplating buying this deck :)
