Revitalisation

Postby MrCat » Jan 13th, '23, 18:41

Blimey I wrote a message that didn’t save so…

I have a plan. It may seem obvious but here I go. Again.

Firstly those of us whom intend to be frequent fliers again here need to be posting on the initial boards all the newbies see, so the last post wasn’t from 2020. Get some active convo going again.

This ties in with the need for new moderators which also ties in with the most crucial need for a meet and greet for any newcomers to revitalise the community. Make them feel welcome etc (for me this was mandrake and lady of mystery)
Which i feel most important to get this forum alive again when the fresh newcomers post.

So, personally I’d love to clock in here as opposed to watching rubbish on Netflix and do some moderation haha. Not a problem.

Leading to whom has the power (and is contactable) to set those privileges?

In order to get a new team together that’s kind of crucial…

Thoughts?

Good suggestion on posting to the older boards to get the last post dates more recent, I'll have a look to see if there is anything I can contribute to those and if other can do the same that would be great.

Currently, I believe Pistol (Mandrake's Son) has along potentially with Bananafish.

I'm not very tech savvy - but I now have a lot of spare time on my hands. To this end, I'd be willing to make the tea if you want.

I wonder whether dropping a line to Duncan Trillo at MagicWeek could be useful, in order to raise awareness of this excellent forum?

As the days of Abra landing on my mat on a Saturday morning have long since passed, it's my 'go to' place every week, to see what's happening.

That said, I find most of what's going on across the world of Magic to be somewhat boring - but thats possibly just an age-related thing. The vintage archive stuff is always worth a view though.
