Mine arrived today, think they look OK, not too sure I'll use them though. But they fan really really well. Would love it if all bikes came with that finish.

I personally like the look of the new ghost deck. I havent picked one up yet since elliousinst has some very un-friendly canadian shipping rates. If anyone knows of a good source north of the border please let me know.

Cheers.

Big Slick - I don't know if any other US online shops are selling them, yet. Usually E waits a while to release them for mass distribution. I know they're up on ebay already, so you might want to try there for a better shipping deal?

Card Warping - and not that cool trick with the reversal!

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Wed Sep 14, 2005 7:11 pm

Hi there!

Steve Dela wrote that his cards have started to warp slightly. Mine have too, but I just assumed I'd left them out somewhere or got them a bit hot.

To me, the card definately feels differnt to normal Bikes and also different to Tally Ho's. Does anyone know if they used a different stock? I know that it has the UV500 finish which makes them very slick, but they do feel a bit different. I'm not sure about double / triple lifts with them?

Hi, Last deck.

Yeah they are made from a thicker card stock than bikes. they are slightly tougher to spring.

from thiner to thick cards.

card thickness and one way decks

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Thu Sep 15, 2005 7:38 pm

I like the progression of the cards!

You mentioned before about the ghost being a subtle one-way deck, but not the misprint. I've looked and looked but can't see it !! - Any clues? :D

I'm from Tamworth - how about yourself?

Newport in Salop

You know, now I think about it, the one way might just be bad printing, but I don't think it is.

One side of shading is thicker and therefore darker than the other.

is it like that on yous? also can everyone check the noses on their kings?

From a swift scan of the kings, KH and KS are symmetrical but KC and KD aren't - more details on the bulbous part of the nose one way compared to the other.

the H &S kings arent symetrical..the pommels of the weapons have different shadings on them

Aha - I was only looking at their noses. It's probably an arrestable offence but do I care? No, I do not  !

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Sun Sep 18, 2005 2:52 pm

Just spotted the same misprints on the kings noses on the Tiger Deck too!

(I really need to get out more!)
