If its any constellation.. His loyal (the real loyal he talks to) are all against his change.

Don't judge him on his tv series... be fair, it is a TV series, he cant go around asking people to pick cards for an hour every week, the zombie nation don't want to see that.

Criss makes money, thats how he does it now.
Everyone hates lawyers, but they're just making a living.

You must not forget that he once was a normal street magician and a live act. He did three specials - Mindfreak (the original), Supernatural and made in japan. If you watch these then you will see what he was really like.

Then he got his hair cut, his fake tan, his stupid jewelry and a fan base of 12 year old girls.

I will still respect Criss for what he used to be. And just before you go slating him, remember that it is JUST a tv show.

Chris Angel

Ok, if you are going to debunk Chris for use of his gimmicks, let us also debunk Houdini, Blaine, Copperfield, Penn and Teller, etc, etc, etc.

The fact is, magicians always carry something "up their sleeve". I watch these shows to try and catch them screwing up, and my kudos to you for seeing it. No, I don't want to see your pics. I enjoy being fooled by these professionals.

I, myself, use several gimmicks in my routines. This does not mean I'm a fraud. It means that I have used that which magicians have used since the dawn of Magic. It is the art of the game.

Heck, I could debunk many tv and movies due to this argument. But what would be the purpose? It is entertainment. Thats the purpose, it is the point.

Call out his mistakes, fine, go for it. Call him a fraud, gimme a break. you spotted one mistake. How many has he performed without you finding the trick. I would assume an uncountable figure. If this assumption is correct, then guess what? He has done his job, and that tells me he is not a fraud, he is a professional.

So give it a rest. ENJOY THE SHOW!

criss

I started out very much hating criss angel. (His "tv edited cgi magic")

But he is a great showman, and growing on me.

I do however propose that if anyone on here suggests he is the "best magician ever" they be removed and banned from this site for all time.

Check youtube. He has a well paid team of special effects/editors who know their way around computers. We could just as easily put "superman" (the cartoon) in the same class.

Not that criss can't do magic. He does some things specatacularly. It's just that he has to fill half an hour each week, as was said before. And so he cheats. (Yes!, all magicians cheat.) But I feel there is a certain code among magicians. "I'm going to use my skill to lie to you and you know it."
But with the CGI, it's not crisses skills. None of it actually happened. Yes, there were cheering people, because a bike crashed into the ground. No, criss didn't disappear in the air. The computer people did their thing. We should be applauding them.
Youtube has a lot of videos on it where criss's "magic" has been dissected.

Copperfield can fly on stage.
So can superman in the movies.

There is a difference people.

Have you noticed he`s hardly even performing magic anymore? He keeps trying to "Escape death" every episode. His best days are over. I`m really dissapointed in him.Now he`s just makin us wait untill he dies from his own stupid stunts. Honestly, how many quarters does he have left before a final game over? I`m wondering if his escape illusions are just that-illusions themselves. He probably isn`t even being fair about it. You gotta wonder if he`s even making them tie the bags loosely & everything or using double camera shots for each "attempt".

WE ARE ALL FRAUDS AND FAKES.

Unless you are telling me you actually CAN do REAL MAGIC.

We use props, gimmicks, stooges, sleights or good old fashioned misdirection.

From what I have read in this thread, by standing in front of the camera, he was misdirecting people.

I have a test for people who feel that my above statement might be out of order, or untrue.

If you can make £100,000,000 appear on my desk, I will give you £1000, together with a public apology
