3 different methods of peeking, a built in billet index, the out to lunch principle & it can even be used as a card to wallet (if you do a certain type of fold to the card).

I'm not after the method or anything, please don't label me as someone who would do that, but would anyone who owns a SAW be willing to PM me with what "certain type of fold" needs to be done? I am trying to decide whether this would be a useful item for me (the card to wallet would seal the deal with all the other stuff).

I wouldn't normally ask, but £100 is rather a lot of money, and I want to be sure before making the purchase.

Also, what are the main differences between SAW 1.0 and SAW 1.1?

While I think I know the answer to the card question, I'll leave it to someone who does that sort of thing to answer.

Negligible, to be honest. Neither can really be divulged without revealing part of the construction, but the changes are very minor. If you're buying one new, you should get the 1.1 version anyway, and it's definitely an improvement on the first version, if only slightly better.

Thanks Part-Timer for your help. I knew there were two versions, I just wanted to know whether there were any major changes. If not, I suppose it makes no difference.

Mercury fold was exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks Dr Todd. I think combining the possibility of a card to wallet effect with all the rest that can be acheived with this wallet, I'll definitely be thinking about a purchase now, as I do both close-up and mentalism.

I'm not sure I would use the stealth with a mercury card fold.

For peeks the Magnum is the best "everyday" wallet.
The S.A.W. is a great utility wallet that can do a little of everything, which puts it in a nice little class by itself.

If you are looking for a peek wallet the Magnum (in my opinion) is a better peek wallet and P.W. wallet, which are the two applications it was designed specifically for.

Magnum is a 6 pocket bi-fold business card wallet, not a full size wallet like the S.A.W.
Its small 4 inches by 3 inches and very thin.

So, bottom line is, they are two different animals that in my opinion serve two different purposes.

The best purchase I've ever made, even way better than the M5. Just bought it last evening and I did a 15 minute routine awhile ago (totally impromptu, just got the mood to try out the SA wallet), the spectators were so stunned I earned 30 dollars worth of tip. Day 1 and a portion of my purcahse already paid off

Can someone tell me what the load is like on this.I'm working on a routine where a folded up business card has to bee loaded into a wallet but I'm still looking for the right wallet? Is it easy to load a folded billet into it???

Also is the peek internal or external?

I have a feeling that it might not be quite the sort of loading you want, Flood. It's not like a regular CtW, where you can pop your hand into your pocket, take out the wallet and the chosen card (or billet) is in a zipped compartment that could theoretically be opened by a spectator. With the SAW, it would be more like this: You retrieve the wallet, you open it up and you reach into an inner (unzipped) pocket and remove the folded business card.

I realise that sounds almost identical, but it is not! Spot the difference.

The mechanics are fairly straightforward. I'd say it's actually quite similar to a no-palm CtW.

There are two different peeks. One is the "Stealth peek" (the SAW is a development on the Stealth Wallet) and this is an "internal" peek, although I did see a nice handling that means you don't have to open the wallet up again. The other is the SUC peek SUC design (and the only wallet apart from Mark Strivings's own one that has permission for this feature). This is external.

You can’t go wrong with this wallet, it has so many uses and it does not look suspicious. As a mentalist I do carry the SUC most of the time, but the SAW is a very very good second (it has more possibilities than SUC but I like the fact that SUC is so very small and it does the job for my most wanted effects in a very nice way). Again SAW is a real top wallet!!!

I have this as my regular wallet. I always carry at least one effect in it. The sight unseen element is worth the price but I love using it as a hold-out for billets.

Get it. If you don't like it you'll still have a very nice leather wallet! Albeit, a very expensive one.
