People are stunned every time. In fact 1 person's theory was that there was something special about my business cards !

Don't know anything about a new mini version - tell me more

Is the whole pen smaller, or just the doofah ? (if you catch my drift :? )

Hmm... I really want one of these, but my problem with it is it costs £25 and you're not even buying a secret, anyone who buys one will (should) know what it is... ie. N.W.s can be incredibly powerful, but anyone who buys one will know what it is and to some degree how to use it, therefore they're under £5 for a pack of 4! Why are we just shy of thirty quid for what is basically an update... :?

Edit: found this on the web... Image Ha!

Having looked at the mini online I suspect it may draw too much attention to the pen because of its abnormal size.

Also I suspect it will be harder to get refills (I've never seen many pens that size let alone Sharpies) unless you cut down normal ones which would be very messy.

I think I'll stick to the normal size Super Sharpie as it's never suspected.

I freaked out a trick or treater's mum last night when I used it to reveal her Mum's 1st name & middle name who had died a few years ago. I mentioned that Halloween was the time to remember those who had died

The purchase of this item is literally a matter of 'do I need it, or could I spend £25 more wisely?'.

I've been badgered to stock these at NUMS, but have been reluctant to as I believe them to be way over-priced and frankly quite tricky to use (I have 2, and both display an inherent problem in the 'separation' department).

Advice is, if you've got £25 to spare and you think this would aid you, go for it—it's a great idea. But there's always been, and always will be, more than one way to skin a cat.

I went out today and bought two Pilot fine permanent marker pens, with a view to spending the afternoon with a hacksaw, a craft-knife and various glues to see if the homemade swami-marker is the way forward (if so, I'll run off a bunch Seige and you can stock mine...! :D )

I've had my S.S. for a couple of weeks and am very excited about the possibilites this updated magician's gimmick offers. I have no reservations recommending this FANTASTIC prop to anyone who is looking for a practical, dissarmingly innocent looking, secret writing tool. I can't imagine a better version will ever come on to the market. Is this then our concord moment in N... W.....s?

Well, I have one little gripe with me new found best friend. Yes, it can be used in various other effects during you performance because, as the descriptions point out, it is a normal pen. But what do you do when you remove the cap from a normal pen? That's right, put it straight on the other end. This, I've found, is a sure fire way to get the gimmick stuck inside the cap. I was lucky, when it happened to me, all I had to destroy was the cap itself. I came very close to ruining the gimmick as well, though.

So, to recap, don't.

Can you take the inner parts from a normal Sharpie and put them in the Super version? Failing that, how about using endorsing ink as used on stamp pads.

You can indeed

When I bought my SS, it was supposedly "new" but I had problems with the gimmick working - I thought that the gimmick was broken 'cos the pen itself actually wrote okay :?.
I bought a new Sharpie, swopped the inners and hey presto Bob's your uncle  .... ermm I mean it now works fine

Thanks for the confirmation, I have a gimmicked Sharpie which, when it arrived, was totally dry due to a missing cap. I swapped inside bits successfully and have managed to 'recharge' ordinary Sharpies in an egg cup of endorsing ink - I wasn't sure if the layout of Super would make this 'DIY' refuelling viable or not.
