I love this trick, its because of the sheer simplicity of it that makes it so outstanding to perform, as its just so easy to practice once you've nailed the handling - you can do this practicly with anything!
But you all knew that anyway didn't you....?

Exceptional trick! Love it, just moved into my new flat so no time to dedicate to it this week, but can anyone suggest good coins/cans for the uk??

Please include beer cans and any others e.g. redbull if you know of any.

Give me a PM when you get a sec,

Many thanks,

A

As someone above noted make sure that you know your coins and cans. After getting the video I practiced for a while and decided to try to show my roommates the trick. Well everything went pretty well up till the very end when the specific soda that I was using wouldn't allow the coin :(
So please, be sure to check your cans prior to actually attempting this. That was one of my lamest screwups to date.

The best coins/can to do this effect with are 10p and diet coke

I like using a 20p for ease of use but the effect works better with a 10p because wont come back out of the can easily.

Becareful with certain beer cans. I once came very unstuck with a John Smiths, or might have been Boddingtons can. Have a look at them and you'll see why. It is possible to do the trick with these, you just have to be more careful with the initial vanish.

I recently purchased this DVD - it's such a simple idea, yet so effective. I've tried it a few times impromtu and it just baffles people. Obviously, like any other trick, it takes some practise, but I'd reccommend it.

But yes, as a point, make sure that the coin WILL work! (without giving too much away)

It doesnt really make a difference with the cans here in the Uk.

I have successfully used it with a coke can, diet coke can ( the best ), sprite, stella (perfect) and carling.

I wouldnt really use any other cans simply for the fact i dont drink anything else out of cans and its always a good excuse to have a drink 'Ill just pour the drink into this glass.. look the coins inside.. you dont want this drink now the coins been in there do you? ok, I will drink it for you, i dont mind.. waste not want not!!
I thought the grass might be greener on the other side and so bought and Xbox360.. I was right!!

I love this effect coming from Wayne Houchin the most funnest line in the dvd is when you see Wayne look in the camera and say sorry Dave when he opens up the pop and the pop goes all over the place. I think thats one of the funnest lines in the Dvd.

That depends on what coin you're using. A 20p will work with just about any can, but it's not that effective 'cos it can fall back through the opening of the can quite easily, as it's fairly small. A 10p is much more effective 'cos when the ringpull is opened and then flattened back down, it's much more difficult to get back out of the can than the 20p.

However some cans will not accomodate the 10p (I remember trying this last Christmas and I had problems with one particular can - I may be wrong but I think it was Heineken :? ). What's more important to note is not what can you're using, but what can/coin combo you're going to use

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention its better with a 10p. I havent used a 20p for that one reason..
