Not really, but I think it could possibly lessen the impact of the final revelation. If the wallet is left in plain view, the spectator will not suspect a switch, which they might do if you put it, say, in your pocket. As there is genuinely no switching of the wallet, why plant the seed in the first place?

Man just buy it, it's worth it believe us. The presence of the wallet is about as suspicious as the presence of a card case that's had cards taken out of it.

Thanks, but I'm an OCD type of person. One more question and I'll buy it:

Does it use double-stick tape or any other type of sticky junk?

I seen a few video performance of this on youtube, and they have the same ending (results). As there's a good review here, i am in to CUPS. But before getting my credit card out, can anyone clarify this? I am sure this can be answered and it won't reveal anything about the trick, Cheers.

1. Is this a one off effect, meaning can you show it to someone a few times?

2. Does it have the same ending/results, meaning is the survivor always the same?

I do not know the effect, but in general this type of effect should not be repeated. This applies to almost all effects. If you want to know how it works I suggest you buy the effect.

No no no.. its not that I want to know how it works. I wanna know if its worth buying for me, cos i don't like tricks that can't be repeated. Meaning that tricks that you just repeat once and the spectator (non-magician) will figure it out just like that!

e.g. like coin in bottle, four-aces trick, card to wallet, zenner-tech, even if you repeat it once or twice it's still not that easily to figure out for non-magician.

and like the mentalism trick where you show 3 color card and you can predict which card the person choose, this you cannot repeat, otherwise your cover is blown.

bananafish wrote: ..... My probelm is though I don't think it works for walkabout or tables. Possibly it is too long. But it is so good I can live with that. It's nice to have a good story effect, and this is a good story effect. My real problem is the lack of repeatability.
So as much as I like the idea of the smaller version, I jsut don't see me performing it enough to justify buying it.

Oh... too much text to read, i missed it the first two times i went thru the posts and review... after some rest and back to the forum and reread all the post, I found the answer to my questions already answered by bananafish. Cheers, You read my mind well in advance! Wow...

I'd respectfully disagree that it doesn't work for tables. If you have say three sets of effects you can comfortably be far away enough from one table before you repeat it. Fair enough there's the table space issue and maybe a bit long for some. Personally I can get through it entertainingly in a couple of minutes, depends on your character I suppose. I intend to use it as a kind of closer for tables that don't want you to stop, it's so portable that you can comfortably have it in your breast pocket and pull it out now and again as 'one last thing because you've been such a good audience'.

Having said that I haven't tried it professionally yet but I've done it plenty of times on 'real' people and it goes down very well. It certainly has a place.

Did anyone else know that the poker chip is magnetic? After all this time, I've only just discovered this fact, and purely by chance (as I placed my PK ring on the wallet, it became apparent). Funny, there's no mention of this in the instructions. I thought it weighed it bit much for a plastic chip! Could come in handy, I guess.

I just read the review! I will put it on my wish list, though personally I would prefer a version that contains the drama but is non-violent and in principle could be performed for children. Anyway thanks for the review....

Once you know the priciple Soren it is easyly changed to other things with a little bit of reworking. Could do a version for girls and boys if you wanted too.

cool effect!

Postby JD » Jun 2nd, '08, 18:26

Just got this at the weekend and I love it. Being a fan of gangster movies and such I knew I was going to like it and it's dead easy to perorm. It is a shame that it can't be repeated but I'll just have to keep it on me when I go out so I can perform it on strangers etc. It's so easy to do though that I could easily put it away for donkeys years and still be able to pick it up and perform with no practice! Quality effect and a unique idea. :D :D :D

Yeah, and i like the idea that it's pure psychology... I figured it out by myself and created a version with normal cards. Still think it has a good impact on the specs, maybe even better then the gangster cards have... If you consider this as revealing, please delete.
