I agree with the excellent opinions - I bought this a couple of weeks ago and the props are excellent.

I have been "lucky" - the three or four times I have performed this [edited]

You can't (and shouldn't) weigh the outs against each other. As Bicycle 808 said - the reveal is powerful across the board. Yes, some are more "glamourous" than others, but the bottom line is - your audience doesn't see the other ones. All they see is that they chose the right person as the owner of the chip.

I like the idea of this a lot, but using movie killers doesn't really fit for me.

If I bought it (which I'm quite happy to do to learn the working) would it be easy to make my own cards and use say a Higley Dark Museum prop instead of the poker chip?

Thanks.

Jon - yes. Once you know the principle behind the effect, it can be applied to any objects that you wish to use.

I think you could make your own cards and replace the poker chip without too many problems. I think KEP is quite versatile in that respect; if the movie killer thing is not your style, you can make your own version if you put a bit of work in. In fact, the basic principle is pretty solid and you can adapt the presentation to suit your own style - you are only limted by your own imagination! (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Yes, the movie killer theme is not my cup of tea. Good to hear the effect can be modified to a more family friendly topic....

Strangely enough, I was thinking about other possible themes for this just a couple of days ago. One I came up with was a dolls' party, and a game of pass the parcel. Which toy ended up with the prize?

Look up Andy's tips for handling the original version of the effect (or even watch him demonstrating the Pro version), as this will definitely help your performance.

I'm a little surprised to see the method of this effect being openly discussed. Still, [edited by mods]

[edited] Personally I think this version is better than the original in that it's levelled the playing field a bit as has been pointed out in this thread.

Overall of course the effect on the spectator should be equally powerful as the plot is that you revealed an impossible prediction, end of, but I for one have a particular favourite outcome and I'm sure the rest of you share it. [edited]

heh, looks like my post resulted in some widespread editing, good stuff. Think you've missed one in Demitri's post - 'You can't .. weigh the ---s against each other'
