Omni Deck???

Postby bowiee2003 » Jan 28th, '06, 00:42

Hello Everyone--

I was wondering if one has done this trick or has any info on it:

Omni Deck

A card is chosen by a spectator, signed and returned to the deck. The chosen card rises to the top of the deck! If that wasn't enough, the rest of the deck magically turns into a clear block of solid perspex!

I just wondering how hard? It sounds kind of neat and interesting. Also If it goes by another name, because I can't find to much about it.

Thanks

Hi Bowiee - why not pop over to the introductions area and introduce yourself to us. If we have an idea of how old you are, where you are with magic at the moment, how skilled you are etc. then it'll be easier to answer questions like this from you. It gives us a term of reference, plus we get to know you a little - which is always nice.

It's always worth reading the announcement there as well.

Actually - it's always worth reading the announcements/stickies in every room first.

I have the omni deck and don't often use it myself but when used well it's a very visual effect.

It's mostly used in ambitious card routines and you need to be able to misdirect so that you can perform a deck change / switch.

I'll say no more but you should be able to work the rest out by yourself from the knowledge that you already have (i.e. read your own post again).

If you want you can PM me BUT as suggested, do post an introduction about yourself and your magic, experience etc. before I respond.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
