First Impressions Pad by Scott Creasey

Postby Nathan_Howard » Feb 8th, '06, 02:23

The Effect

You get the spec to write or draw anything they like on a page from a small, pocketsize notepad. Allowing them to then keep the paper (or eat it, pass it on to someone else or burn it if they want to) you can flip the notepad closed with one hand without apparently paying any further attention to it. You then amazingly discover the word or image created by whatever method you desire.

Cost

£32 direct from Scott Creasey including p&p. Email him on magic@scottcreasey.co.uk , tel: 01455283445, mob 07754046401 or visit his site at www.scottcreasey.co.uk

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

2 as it does require some simple handling

Review

The First Impressions Pad was recommended to me by bananafish, a moderator from this web site, and resultantly I have to offer a sincere ‘thank you’ in return. Completely innocent to the eye and to at least any casual touch (while not completely and thoroughly examinable - it wouldn’t stand any close forensic test in only one respect), this utility device can be handed to a spec with a little careful presentation and a mentalist miracle will then result. Indeed, the peek is a gem that looks 100% natural and throws both the spec and the wider audience every time.

It comes complete with printed and photo enhanced instructions, a spare identical pad and some additional paper--along with the comforting fact that it can be restocked from any decent stationers. As an added point, I emailed Scott before I bought it and got a friendly and prompt email by way of reply. Plus the pad truly arrived ASAP as promised and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from this gentleman again.

Overall

Get this pad if you are doing a mentalist routine. It works equally well before any size of audience or up close with a single spec.

10 out of 10 for care, thought and complete attention to detail.

Thanks for the Review but it's always worth checking if one has already been done. In this case there was one fairly recentlyhere
