Hmm...this seems to have petered out a bit...there might still be a chance to get them together for the IMS convention 8) I'm still in for one :P

cost implications might have to figure into this though...

would a sow-on patch be cheaper and easier to get going? slightly larger for say your magic-props bag...you could include a little more info that way too (size-wise)..

cost...well, I know there are some members who have volunteered to help with upfront costs (I will too, by the way :)) so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

might work...except I don't think you'd wear a TM badge as an everyday item, it would only be understood by magicians for one thing

maybe as an embroidered silk hankie then? that could be a "secret sign" to other members...something you could produce infront of other that you suspect of being a fellow member?

make a change from rolling up yer trouser leg or doing a funny handshake..

Hmmmmm. A total stranger suddenly starts waving a hankie at another total stranger. Could be the start of a whole new way of life  !

merchandise

I would be up for it, as an extension of the initial idea what about one badge with a new badge available each year with the profits going to agood cause (maybe providing tricks and tuition to kids in hospices etc.) 8)

Is this badge only for those who are going for meetings and so on/only for people with special rankings? Or isit for everyone in this forum?
I recommend making a sticker instead of a badge. You can print the TalkMagic logo on it and those who has it can paste them on their shirts, somewhere near the upper right pocket.

There'll probably (hopefully :D) be a sticker at the IMS so we can all recognize each other. The badges will most likely be a longer time coming.
