I got mine from Magicbox at only £15,
works out about £12 on Penguin but then you have delivery and risk tax etc etc..........

i had been wondering for a while what C.U.P.S stands for here, finally found the link explanation! but long before i realised it stands for Compulsive Uncontrolable Purchasing Syndrome i knew it had something to do with me after reading other post......

i spent $100 on magic books and magazines this month! Among my latest purchase - Wayne Dobson's WD40 book....... :D

and for the past 6 months i have spend about £800 on magic tricks and DVDs!!! Gosh...... i really need to stay away from browsing those online magicshops.. oh... and those 10/10 reviews here

Just keep telling yourself that they're all very worthwhile and essential investments - which they are  !

Mandrake! This is meant to be a C.U.P.S self help group to stop such reckless spending and comments made in a fashion to suggest these are investments just compounds the problem

I'm off to collect my Classic Maigc of Larry Jennings book I haven't bought as I cant afford it and I dont have C.U.P.S.

I don't think I have C.U.P.S but when I buy something I try to hide it from my wife. Is there a term for this?

Yes there are two words. deception and guilt.

Welcome to our C.U.P.S forum....take a seat, have a cake and try not to look at any magic websites or catalogues or you'll encourage us to spend more

I remember someone talking about magic materials as seeming like porn, in as much as you hide them and look shocked as soon as someone walks into the room.

Yes that was indeed me as it is very awkward when someone walks into the room and you hit the stop button on the DVD then try to look innocent while trying to hide the loops maker behind your back.

The excuses of I've just been practising magic gets met with the good ol' "is that what your calling it these days" :D

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

You should share with the group how you managed to take your C.U.P.S and bring it under control, once again making you a valued member of polite society.
