Yhey've just come out of the oven and are still a bit warm.

I've shimmed these cakes so you can use a raven or other such device to make them disappear.

I'm working on an IT attachment so the cakes can flying into ones mouth.

Which means I have to buy more stuff. Bloody C.U.P.S

Costas, I think I'm just doing the thumbaround at the moment rather than the charge, but the descriptions on that page aren't too clear.

This looks closest to what I'm doing, except the wand remains (roughly) horizontal while rotating around the thumb. http://www.pentrix.com/videos/video.php ... normal.swf

It works fairly well with both hands now, but there are still problems. Mostly the errors are either missing the catch, and having it spin again and again on the back of my thumb before falling on the floor, or for some reason sometimes it doesn't quite make the revolution, and falls off the underside of the thumb.

I haven't done much with the Vernon spin yet, as it looks like the documentation I have has a misprint on one step of the instructions, which is baffling me slightly. It's probably just be me misunderstanding them though.

Cakes cakes cakes. And some magic beer too please?

[edit] I'm working with a solid nylon wand about 13" long, with a fair bit of weight to it, and it seems to me that the weight helps with the stability, compared to a jumbo wooden pencil I was using before that was about the same size, but lighter.[/edit]

The wonderful thing about magic beer is that after a few pints of it you can't remember your credit card number

Yes that's all very good Stephen (if you don't mind me calling you that), but have you told everyone here about that £699 talking skull you intend to buy  !

Yes, the ThumbAround is the one I have been toying around with but unlike you I am lucky if I can pull it off once. How long have you been practising this spin?

And yes, I too had found the instructions for the Charge confusing.

It would have been good to have that one on video.

That makes sense what you said. I am using a 13.5” wooden wand with brass tips (which is probably heavier than yours) and I had read recently on a post that if I drop mine it could break easily (which is no good for me or my CUPS) so I am constantly practising over my bed. Damn, I would have liked a good nylon wand to practice with. Where did you purchase your one? Don’t worry my fellow members and sufferers, I am just asking, I am not intending on buy anything until I sort out my financial issues. Actually Steverino, you can PM me the answer so we do not disturb our good brothers with blatant advertising.

Yeah I had a butchers and it looks pretty damn good. Not too pricey for what you get either. Mind you I wont be getting it as I dont do those sort of effects.
If you get it then post a review I'm eager to see if it is as good as it looks....bet it is.

Yes, Stephen you have to be honest amongst your brothers! You want that skull because it looks so impressive! You're not really focused on how much money your going to make out of it! You just want to sit there and watch it chatter it's teeth away under your control! Come on Stephen, we understand here! We've all been in that same situation! Get a grip man !

I walked along the strand today, and didn't even think of going into Davenports. Do I get a gold star or an extra big cake or something?
