Welcome K88. Please remember the rules of CA (CUPS Anonymous):

We don't use our surnames here.

What is said in the meetings stays in the meetings.

And if you do get the urge to purchase something that you will never use, please call your sponser!

But stay strong, the first step is admitting that you have a problem. You are among friends and you will be able to make it through this.

Is there a stop close to the shop now? Back in '77 (or maybe '78 ) they were reasonable close to the Lechmere stop (they were at 24 Lincon St. back then), but the last location I went to was quite a way away from the original shop (but much, much larger and not on the third floor).

Not sure, we are taking the train to Boston today instead of next week (my mom's friend couldn't make it) and then either taking the subway or walking. ...CUPS is ganna go into full as soon as I get there... I'm leaving in about 30 minutes so I have to get ready, I'll tell everyone how it goes when I get back :D. Please save me a chair in here....

Well, I gave into CUPS...thanks for saving my seat.... Although I was slightly dissapointed with Hank Lee's I still managed to scrape up the cash for a red closeup pad, a CAJ deck, Entourage (packet trick), some IT and some magicians wax :P.

I will post a review on Entourage some time today if no one else has already.

Also a question for mods/admins:

Am I allowed to post a routine in the public section of the board since I cannot access the routine section? I came up with a nice routine using a few of the gaffs in the CAJ deck and would like to share it :D.

Edit: I could not resist adding a picture of my close-up pad...
First row is my Black Viper Deck, second is my Master's Deck, and in the third row are a few of my CAJ Deck cards :P.

P.S....Only reason I am adding a picture is because it's my first pad (I normally just use a table) but since I was at Hank Lee's and Hank is such a good sales person...Gosh darn it CUPS!

As long as the routine doesn't give away the secret of an item you bought it should be OK. You may need to use abbreviations or be a bit vaugue about specific gaffed cards etc.

David R. I have to agree with you. Hank Lee's is a little bit dissapointing at times. But o, well. Its still better than nothing, and being one of the few magic shops around, I guess it will have to do.

Oh dear...

My name is I.D and I have a serious degree of C.U.P.S.. !!

It finally sank in today when I realised I was about to order Mega Bertha ( because it was a ''different size'' to the Monster!! ) and again, just now.. I was about to order my next purchase.. Mark Wilson complete course in Magic.. in paperback and hardback.. because one would be a bedside read and practice source and the other my ''hardcopy''.

I also found myself wanting New modern coin magic by Bobo just for the extra 4 chapters

I have £60 in my basket at Nums, £170 in a list to purchase from Magictricks.. and £80 order to put in just for cards at Magicbox.

I have a serious problem.. I have counted up my dvds, tricks, downloads, etc this morning while tryin to get organised.. i have over £150 of unpracticed material that I do want, but haven't got round to..

I.D *hangs head in shame*

The new Holiday Contest over at E has sparked my CUPS into placing three seperate orders just to get 3 bands .

Order one: Prism Book by Max Maven and the Kaos DVD although I know how it is done...

Order two: 2 Black Tiger decks and 2 Ghost decks.

Order 3: Black Tiger ID w/ free Black Tiger deck.

.

Bit over 100 USD...on top of everything I bought 3 weeks ago...

hmmm. i have managed to cut down on magic (then again my bank account has also made some cutting downs), but uhoh. i've already bought two wiis! (splitting up with my brother and waiting in lines= two wiis), hopefully i i can pay off both wiis on ebay. then i might have some money left over to buy more magic... and the circle continues

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Postby David R. » Nov 29th, '06, 22:37

My order that I am about to place at E, separated into 4 seperate orders!

Edit: I also added to it Coin Bite band replacements (strangely enough, Ellusionist exposes one of its own products by the amount of info it puts on the replacement page), and also got a book from themagicwarehouse.com called Body Morphin for $14 which sounds very nice as it has 4 classic and great effects in it that even if you do not use, you are gaining a lot of knowledge of how they work (or so I would assume, but I will have to wait to find out).

M5 just ordered with priority mail, $200 total, then all my other orders except for one which I am still wondering on and am awaiting help from a very good TM member (thanks Mark Lewis :D).
