well when i try to spread them they just come apart, ive tried been gentle pushing down, all sorts but i cant even make a difference.

I'm sure this has been said many times on the board but I am very lazy so I'll just say it again

When using the spray, a light coating is all you need, less is more.
If you find you need more you can always do it again but if you put loads on then it is more difficult to recover from.

If you haven't ever sprayed anything before, practice before you go near your cards, sweeping fluid movements and not too close.
Don't point the can at what you are spraying and press the button, do that at the side and then sweep over what you want to spray.
You may know all this but just in case

Oh and make sure you are in a well ventilated area, also your mum/dad/whoever will not be happy with it all over their carpet, lol.

Anyway, hope that helps.

yeh ive sprayed lots of paintings and stuff for art so i imagine its just the same. thanks for the advice though bababoom. you dont know hoe much one can will last for though with a generous coating for the cards. is it just enough for one set?

Well obviously it would depend on the size of the can, the same stuff can be bought cheaper or in bigger cans at diy shops etc, yankeetom was on a mission to find the cheapest, maybe he will post if he found an answer.

To answer the question, I haven't used a tin from a magic shop but I'm sure you get more than one deck out of them, otherwise they are somewhat having the proverbial laugh, it would work out the same price to get a new deck and the cards would be clean etc.

I have used Derran Browns card prediction method. I once got someone to think of a card and I read their mind saying it was the 3 of dimonds.

Then I produced the ID and their card was not only named by me but face down in the deck.

If you get this prediction method right then you can get them to write down their card and its face down in your deck. If you get it wrong then you can go on to do the ID trick.

Not a great idea but if it works then its awsome. I;ve tried it 4 times and got it right 3

Cheaper still - Hairspray.

I haven't actually tried this but I have been told it does work.

Well, there's only three problems with using Hairspray:

1: It tends to dissolve the coating and/or the ink. Messy!
2: It never quite dries, and remains sticky for a long while.
3: It's SMELLY! Even more so than RS.

Well it does give my cards that perfect hold whilst making them completely natural!!
