Zoom!! RE-EXAMINED Please Read!

Postby TheOldForum » May 10th, '01, 18:18

Name : Zoom!! by Ben Harris
Price : £9.99 Abrakazam
Type : Card
Time To Learn : about 30mins
Reset : almost Instant
Examinable : Yes
Difficulty : 2

Effect : A playing card or business card is examined. You ask your audience to look for threads, motors, etc. Nothing will be found by either layman or magician! You then wave your empty hand over the tabled card in a magical pass. The card eerily comes to life and ZOOMS this way and that across the tabletop! Ant then you can even make the card flip on the table!!!

Comments : This blows them away!! Yet another great trick which is ideal for table hopping.

Rating : 10/10

zoom is definitely really cool. so far i have only performed this trick for another magician and he couldn't find the gaff at all! the gaff is totally self contained on the card but no one will see it. somtimes i fool myself with this trick thinking that the gaff came off or broke, only to find it after ten minutes of close inspection! the only problem i have with this trick is that the gaff will break sometimes, but you get extra supplies and instructions on how to make another one. you just need steady hands and patience.

Zoom did not impress me at all. The motion is not at all fluid. Very choppy.

movement is best performed on a glossy surface and the hands should be constantly moving but not rapidly .....gently....you will probably get more out of your Zoom this way, and may find life for your discarded gimmick try loosening the tension slightly of the IET, make different gimmicks and experiment with tension ...persevere it is worth it
