Just opened the parcel and had a quick read thru the book (not had chance to view DVD yet as I'm in work)

As with most tricks the beauty is in its simplicity. First reaction is - I can do this any time I want - and it does indeed look 'cool'. I will be trying out the technique later on when I go home.

this trick as presented by harris is busted!
anyone with half a brain will deduce the solution if you are allowed to see the performers face.

this could make good of the premise without the hassle of a gimmick: say it is a secret masoinic handshake of sorts.

A.) Most will complain because it is not a "trick" in the typical sense of the term.

B.) It cannot be done anytime or anywhere

C.) The method is outrageously simple (which has ticked off more than a few... I think it's the whole kicking yourself in the butt thing though...)

D.) This is a 100% presentation piece e.g. it depends entirely upon YOUR ability to present it.

It's not for everyone and will work best for those that lean towards the bizarre and more esoteric sides of mentalism (like me).

I had a chat this afternoon with Ben about this and a few other things, and the whole point behind it is to make people think about presentation. When you do this bit right, it is capable of helping you start a small religious movement, it's so good... so completely impossible. For $20.00 it's a steal... many of the pros in the business have told him to kick the price up by $100.00 or better so as to keep it more exclusive.

I agree with Craig - it will be down to presentation. Im thinking of using it either in a beer garden or at a BBQ in the summer. i.e. when most people are a bit merry on the old sherry.

It is not a 'trick' as such, but more of an act (I suppose). So anyone expecting a ground breaking gimmick and trick may be disappointed.

I cant really write a proper review, as I've yet to have a proper oppurtunity to try it out, so if anyone has, feel free to post one.

So, I'm "most"(?) and I'm complaining(?) because it wasn't presented and marketed as a deception (?) or is an atypical trick a practical joke?

Quit name dropping and slinging sarcasm and start suggesting these presentational gems you have. So far we have get them drunk and they won't remember a thing. Most likely your parroting Harris' presentation and you're using the performance accessory. It does appear that you over looked my presentational suggestion.
