Does it work? I have had a little success with it. I would like to know the manor in which some of you guys employ it? How much success do you have?
I have also heard that an invisible deck is handy as an out for the force? Do any of you do this? _________________ Those are my principles. If you don't like them I have others. -Groucho Marx |

Unless you have a fool-proof force, then it's always a good idea to be able to switch to another trick which doesn't require a force. I'd wouldn't use the ID for that though - just a trick which can use any indifferent card to start with. Try the force again later.
In fact it's a good way to practice the force in the first place. Try to force each time you can - it'll get easier each time.
I have in the past carried an Invisible Deck - but normally only use it when a trick has gone belly up (it does happen... ) and you turn over their card and they say 'Nope. that's not it.'
Even if you know it was their card, it still happens - people do sometimes mis-remember their card - and the customer is always right after all - a quick change of direction to produce it from the ID works wonders at digging you out of a hole... |

I always force the card on table to table or walk around magic, why...so that they can shuffle the cards if they want to or you can offer them the chance to shuffle if you want to!
I use the stop cut force most of the time....I think I got this from a Simon Lovell book.....can't quite remember at this moment in time.....it works great as you can cut the cards to the specys hands and they stop where they like and the card is the force card!!
Moving on....I also always always always, have the card shown to others in the group or anyone else standing around it not only involves others in your magic performance but eliminates the possiblity of the specy saying that's not my card when you know it is! As it's been mentioned and it's also mentioned in RRTCC a specy will sometimes try to mess you up and if you don't get them to show it around, you are opening yourself up to that very possiblity! _________________ www.jackbryce.co.uk/main.htm

I always Classic Force and if it fails I simply manipulate the chosen card to the top and reveal it in whatever way takes my fancy at the time. _________________ Tenko.
