The Effect

An electric light bulb is shown & with no visible connecting wires, it mysteriously lights while held in your hands.

But that's not all! Removing your hand from the bulb, it clings to your finger tips, then floats from hand to hand. First, it floats in an upright position, then turns in mid-air.

Bulb then floats away from you, then down again into your hands. You have full control of the bulb & with a little practice can perform many fantastic effects.

I'd say a 2 because you constantly must watch your angles. The "trick" itself is almost self-working.

Review

This was exactly the c*** (not the best) I expected. I purchased mine from Abracadabra. Their product picture is modified and misleading. I even emailed them for more info and I was given false promises. I was promised you can pass a hoop over the bulb while it's floating. Nope. I was told you don't need a cloth. Not a complete lie, but a cloth would make it a lot more effective. I've only found one "position" that works and it only worked on kids. Adults immediately knew what was going on. I practiced in front of a mirror for days and still couldn't fool anyone over the age of six. I think the biggest problem is that the bulb is plastic and looks completely fake.

Overall

2 out of 10. I would've given it a 1, but a few kids' jaws dropped straight to the floor.

Thanks for the honest review. I've seen those light-up bulbs on www.emagictricks.co.uk and wondered if they were any good either.
If the bulb looks like a standard household one then all good and fine, but a fake looking prop-type one would scream 'Something you've bought from a magic shop!'

This is an item that's been around years in the USA.
Back in the early 90's or late 80's I bought 2 from Stacey Lee's Magic Shop in London. They were made of glass, not the usual plastic bulb sold in joke shops.The gimmick was a small version of the Zombie one. The blue printing on the package was similar to that of the SS Adams Company. They lasted ages biut then you had to buy new ones.

As of today Abracadabra has refunded me half my money back and I didn't have to return the light bulb. Just thought I should give them some credit.

Don't be fooled. What I reviewed above is nothing like what Criss did. What Criss did was a combination of "effects" put into one performance. If you want anything close to what Criss did, start here:
