Paul Brook's Double Blank Svengali Deck

Postby daleshrimpton » Wed Jul 29, 2009 8:07 am

From the mind of Genius Paul Brooks comes another powerful tool....

The Double Blank Svengalli Deck.

As usual, the book that accompanies this is a download, which is why Im posting this overview here.

the book, contains full instructions on how to set up your own DB SVENGALI DECK,( they are available from Paul)

effects are arranged in order of difficulty.
Basic effects Around the world, Picture this, and Extra Svengalli perception
deal with places, drawing duplication, and an esp test. All of which are perfect for the table , and strolling worker.

the next section, " not so basic effects" deal with slightly longer routines,

hung drawn and quartered, which offers a multi item prediction.

Dead is Dead... Modesty forbids me from saying much about this effect. Lets just say i know it Intimately!

( Thank you for the kind words Paul... I may frame that page and hang it for visitors to read)

extra svengalli perception 2.
a two person version of the first effect

song bird.
a spectator thinks of a song... mentalist sings it.( there’s a bit more to it than that. But i imagine it will be a real winner!

there then follows a section on other potential uses.. pre show, for example.

so, not so much a review, but an over view.

If you’re looking for something different, i am sure your going to find it here.
And..
there’s more to come, because the book like Topsy, is set to grow, and grow as more ideas come forth.

Recommended!

It's always nice when Dale recommends something. Always great and dependable stuff..

But it's never nice for my wallet. Rather my dad's :(

A bit of a bump.. As Paul has updated the pdf, to include a number of brand new routines, as well as the original. The book now boasts 95 pages, with a host of new effects contributed by Greg Arce,
those being
--Do You Lock Me?
--Safe Distance
--Counterfeit Cabaret
--Who The Blank Killed Me?
--Lotto Fever
--Cheap Scrabble
--Secret Chef
--Mini Magazine Memory

another effect of mine own, When The House Looses
and Threevolution by Tony McElroy.

and it's still a tenner if you havent bought yours yet.

all those lovely updates, ( and they will continue to be added) come free of charge, if you have already got it! :)

By the way, It is worth remembering that, with a little applied imagination, many of the routines could be adapted for use with a regular svengalli deck.

Do the eBook updates get sent automatically/are accessible on the site once bought or do you need to purchase a new deck every time there are further contributions?

My wife is conveniently on holiday next week, on the downside there's no hiding the order, on the plus side someone to stay in and collect the package!

Is it a standard 3-5 business days for delivery in the UK? Can't check confirmation email from work.

Mine arrived next working day so it ought to be no longer than a couple of days. However, your Wife will probably expect a very convincing explanation about what you actually receive  !

This sounds like a very versatile tool, but once you've customised your deck for a particular effect, doesn't it limit you to only be able to perform that one effect? Do you need one of these decks for each effect you want to perform? Or am I missing something?

As long as it's not a Valentines Card SWALK then I should be okay... maybe... unless she opens it and asks why I have been buying bits of card.

Effectively, but the decks themselves aren't difficult to knock up, and the manuscript details how to go about it.
