I saw this in their latest promotional email but can't yet see it on their site. For the benefit of other here is the product blurb;

A participant is invited to examine six cards, each one has the word 'Click' on one side and 'Bang' on the other.

Six regular envelopes are examined and any card is placed into any envelope as the performer explains that each card represents a bullet and each envelope is the chamber of a gun.

Turning away the performer instructs them to place one card showing the 'Bang' and the others showing a 'Click' into each envelope. All are mixed up as the performer turns back and attempts to divine which envelope contains the 'Bang' card.

Using suggestion, precognition and persuasion the performer puts money on the table and states that if he makes a mistake he'll lose the cash. Maybe not as life threatening as a live bullet but none the less painful in it's own way.

Each envelope is eliminated one by one, more and more cash is placed on the table until just one remains.

Despite the real test conditions you will succeed every time.

No marks, peeks, impressions, forces, electronics, duel reality, equivoque or pateo.

You really do not see a thing, they can choose any card, any envelope, in fact they can use their own if they really want to.

Peter Nardi and Marc Spelmann teach 357 and then show you how to adapt the routine for other effects, living and dead, bank night, win or lose.

You are supplied with gimmicks that enable you to be ultra clean with a technique that is truly remarkable.

With 357 you will be able to display true test conditions for a close up performance piece that is as direct as it is astonishing.

It sounds like a new angle on the old ESP cards but printed as it says which I must admit looks quite good.

If thats the case it's epensive (not really but in comparison to a std set of ESP it is) but I guess you are paying mainly for the DVD and the routines?

This is the sort of thing I would trade my existing cards in for as it's the story and hook that sells something when you perfrom.

Hi Chaps,

It does seem to be up on Alakazams site now...

http://www.alakazam.co.uk/acatalog/Hot_List_1.html

..our own Mr. Bananafish had a lot to do with the routining and Peter Nardi and Marc Spelmann have also come up with some brilliant routines that are all on the DVD. You will get a nice selection of props and the DVDis chock full of presentations and tips. Do be warned however... I do appear on the DVD I am told so those of you with a nervous disposition, a sensitive pet or favourite child need to be warned.

Obviously I won't be tipping or hinting at method but for those of you who do decide to give it a go I'm sure you will enjoy it.
If we can hit that bullseye then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards... Checkmate!

It was the storyline that drew it to me aswell, I think it would be a perfect before or follow on to my particular presentation of Andy Nymans Diceman. I have been thinking of making my own Diceman cards up with my own words so this would fit nice with it. Hopefully someone will put up a review before I make the plunge thoe.

This:

http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic26553.php&highlight=

is also a very good product, and will achieve the same results. Although you won't get the above routine, and subleties, for £10 it's an absolute winner and can cater (with a little printwork) for any event, and can be personalised to your own specification.
I hope you don't feel that I'm being discourteous, but I have to put it forward as a better product (in my opinion) and a better deal (financially).

The 357 DVD does reference this product, which I thought was the right thing to do.

I have used this principle for over 30 years now and still have my original set of cards.

357 is a refreshing and new application of the old principle and ties in well with Nyman, Nardi, and Spellmann's 'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels' approach to mentalism. The cash element is great.

The packaging and marekting is very well done, but Jason is correct in identifying that the Chazpro cards effectively do the same job.

Just got mine in the post. Great effect. I will say tho that you will have to purchase your own set of envelopes as the ones supplied are not any use.
You can see thru them.

Really? Mine were the Kraft envelopes that are always supplied with magic effects - surely you can't see through those?

Well yes I thought that as well cause thats wot we do get. I put my own wording on and it was visible thru the envelope. I have just changed the envelopes and tried it out in the real world and oh boy what a reaction.
I was just a bit miffed that I was supplied envelopes that are not up to the job. Great reactions tho. Once I got the correct envelopes. (did I say that before)

What did you use to write with? Tar?!

I'm only a little perturbed, as mine are the dinky kraft/mead envelopes that are soooooooooo hard to get over here. And have worked fine with me, using a red and a blue sharpie - truth/lie written on them. I'm thinking of laminating one as a antique of the future.

Hey your abilities are endless it WAS Tar..... Only joking, no I used a black marker to make the writing bold. I found the sharpie didn't give the writing the boldness that I wanted. The writing in the demo is bold as well so that must show thru, just we cant see that. I guess a sharpie would work. If you haven't tried it I would try it on some spare card first that way you won't use up one of the cards. I'm guessing you don't live in the uk.

Nah, I used a black sharpie and you can see through the envelopes.. I'm gutted. It's a nightmare getting the perfect sized envelopes for these things.

Put the cards exact size on here, then perhaps someone might help you? Perhaps the cards could be cut slightly, top and bottom, to fit, or if the envelopes larger, then maybe a tap on the table? WH smith do brown pay envelopes? To describe them, they are (unfortunately) thin, but brown (quite opaque) so surely the latter fills the requirements needed. Quite cheap as well, and throwaway, when they dirty. If not, then contact Mr Leveridge, as he's the "envelope" man (so I've heard).
Helpful?
