Review
From the site - You have found a letter from Count Draculea, containing his instructions, which your victim reads out. They find that they have followed his instructions exactly. When THEY turn over the Tarot card from the deck THEY have shuffled, they find that it is the very card that Draculea predicted. The volunteer does all the work. You DO NOT touch the cards at any time. This uncanny effect requires no sleight of hand thanks to the gimmick.

Im quite a fan of the Black Hart, every single item I've bought has been superb quality. This is no different. From the handmade paper used for the envelope, to the weathering of the letter, even down to the drops of blood and wax across the page..everything reeks of quality - in fact, the letter does have a light stench of sulphur to it, it's all wonderfully monsterous!

You get a complete storyline to play with, everything is done by the spectator - please, please give this effect the drama it deserves…whether you play it straight, disturbed or whatever that’s up to your character obviously…

Beautifully made, all you need is a set of Tarot, I've used a Crowley one, but im sure you can get a more vampiric looking set if you search about…

Overall

I actually put on white cotton gloves and use tongs to produce this envelope out of a bigger box, saying that a friend from a museum has lent me this for a little while and ive promised to handle with care…

I've also got a print out of the letter acting as a crib-sheet stuck to the inside bottom of the bigger box if the spectator has problems reading the hand-written letter…the myopic fools!

I'm fully aware that the spec is fully aware that vampires don’t exist, but even so, playing it straight does, in my experience play well…especially if you’ve been telling ghost stories in between effects or if its just part of your patter in general…they still don’t understand how the letter can still influence them into the particular choice made…

It's criminally easy to do, if you enjoy the darker side of magic - spend that tenner!

Please note - i myself am a myopic fool...

Nice review. I've considered buying this effect a few times, but it didn't really suit me. I'm almost tempted to get one anyway.

There are two vampire Tarots and a gothic Tarot, for starters, but I think this effect might look more effective with an old-looking Tarot, like the Tarot de Marseilles, especially a deck that has been aged.

EDIT: All available from Cards 4 Magic. They also stock a Russian Tarot, which (oddly enough) looks Eastern European, so that might work.

i use the psycho deck from Black Heart personally, but i do spend hours perusing the different decks on that cards4magic site...

i would recommend it just as an item to keep even if youre not going to use it..its a nice oddity to have i think... :)
