Simon (bananafish) told me of the existense of your forum here, and I really like it. Shortly after I started writing for the Visions e-zine, we had a forum there called Meeting of Magical Minds (MoMM), a fairly small but tight-knit group. TalkMagic reminds me a lot of MoMM, and I'm really enjoying popping in from time to time. As head of the Staff at The Magic Cafe, it's nice to be able to come here and just read and post at a leisurely pace while letting others handle the problems, if any.

My name is Scott, and I am a full-time pro from a tiny little area just outside of Boise, Idaho in the USA. On the West Coast of the US, just above California, is Oregon and then Washington. Idaho borders both of those states to the east. Boise is in the Southwest part of Idaho.

I've been into magic off and on since I was a kid. Been doing it full-time now for about a decade. I also do ventriloquism. I enjoy being able to do what I love and entertain people for a living. I also lead the music at my church--contemporary music with a full band: drums, electric bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, two keyboards, saxaphone and several vocalists. My wife is the drummer, and we have fun doing the music together.

I'm 40, married (Kristi), no kids. That's about it.

Thanks for having me here at TalkMagic!

Welcome Scott. It's good having you here.

In my opinion one of the nice things about this site is that it is still relatively small and so still seems very personally, and yet on the other side there is enough variety of people and skills to make the discussions and feedback informative and entertaining.

Above all I would say that everyone here who has posted a message is bubbling over with enthusiasm for all things magical and it's nice to be able to tap into that enthusiasm.

we look forward to reading more of your contributions :)
