ORANGE BIKES

Postby dat8962 » Sep 10th, '06, 18:01

Well, I finaally got me a brick of the new orange bikes. Not really worth following the review template here as they're the same as any normal deck of Bikes but with an orange back (a sort of dull orange rather than bright).

So why bother at £2.50 per deck when you can pick up other colours for much cheaper?

Well, for a start they're different and because they're new, you won't see too many of these around for the time being. I had to special order these as I've not seen any of the mainstream dealers carrying these so far - even cards4magic!. However, my MAIN reason is that I've finally now got the 5th colour that I need to make up a set of cards for Queens out of Control using genuine USPCC stock

No more sticky cheapo plastic feeling cards when performing Queens. HOORAY!!!!!!! The 6th Queen and the 3 Jokers I'm planning to use Tally's, assuming that the Tally Queens are the same as the Bike Queen on the face?

Also, can anyone let me know if the jokers in the Tally decks are both the same or does one come printed with a guarentee on it, as with the Bikes? Info appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing for Queens! :)

As for Tally queens, yes you can use the queen but not the joker. One joker is a colored cowboy, the other is the quarentee card with no picture.

I got a pack of these too - they're great quality, and excellent ideas for something like a 'Faded Back' effect and/or routine.

I picked mine up at the House of Magic UK in Stourbridge...if their website is working again (edit: no it's not) I doubt you'd find them on there, but if you phoned them up they'd send you what you needed I'm sure provided they had them in stock.

How much did you pay at HOM?

I bought mine from Magic Magic on ebay. Highly recommended ebay dealer and based in Bournemouth so I can drop in by appointment and pick them up.

I paid £2.50 per deck but did order a brick to get them at this price (and I'm a very regular customer which makes a difference  )

Thanks guys, £4.99 a deck is a bit steep but is on a par with the US sites for individual decks. I can't really justify buying a brick, unfortunately. Ho Hum, such is life!

lol there is a shop i know in my country which sells all kinds of bikes, tally hos, bees, aladdin etc cards. those cards are beauty but its really not quite worth the extra money for some normal cards with just different colours =\

Depends. They can be very useful for some effects of creating your own routines.
