Review

I love magic with rings. 9 times out of 10 its impromptu and you borrow the ring and we all know how good it is to do magic with a borrowed object don’t we? Just adds to the magic. Any how I was watching the superb worlds greatest magic “finger ring magic” and I saw Dan Flashman’s ring and rope with ring flite. And I thought to my self I got to get me one of them. So I was looking round for a ring flite and thought to my self impossible location borrowed object lets find one. Then I thought to my self who carries there keys around in a little leather wallet now days? Anyone? Anyone at all? I thought not.

Anyhow I was in luck I found my self sharp ring. It ends up on the pen cap in your back pocket. You put the pen away before the ring vanish. Sounds great don’t it. Sounds great but and it’s a big but, it’s a huge but….

But it is terrible. For all those who know the secret of ring flite how the ring gets with the keys. Same principle nothing new or revolutionary there. So I got me little box from penguin and opened up for some serious magical happenings. Nah

I got a real sharpie and a gimmick and the gimmick is well made I doubt it will brake under normal use. Well mine wont brake because it will have no use. And a card the size of a modest birthday card with the instructions. The best thing in the package was the real sharpie. The routine write an IOU on a peace of paper crumple it up, put the pen away. Vanish the ring. Slowly unwrap the paper , oooo no ring, where’s it gone ah its on the pen lid. Excellent in theory. In practice the gimmick is noisy I mean you need back ground noise to cover it up I suggest runway 6 at Heathrow airport because its that noisy and some earplugs for your self, hmm if you get Sankeys that’s two tricks you can perform at the airport, see the ticks must flow. Anyhow great idea wrongly put together.

Overall

10 for the idea of changing the ring flite 3 for the actual workings of the trick, as I said before the best thing in here is the real sharpie. And between !7 and 30 odd quid looking around the net for one no value for money at all. But if your one of them chaps who wave planes in at the airport and do magic tricks for the pilots why you do so then get one, but for every one else I d stick with ring flite. Even if you have to carry a key wallet

sounds good

i have kevin parkers nexus which works much better than other gimicks and for $30 it is a lot.

I'm guessing it involves a lot of misdirection

I think the biggest drawback is the fact that it's not exactly difficult to get a ring on to the clip of a Sharpie Marker Pen. On the clip tucked away in a wallet which is fully closed-up and sealed and in your back pocket well, now that's a different matter.
