must admit that when i first got this i thought ... "nah... noone will be fooled by this!" but i must admit its a cracker!! REALLY gets people wondering on how it was done.

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Having no idea how this works, could the ESPerfect cards be used as one set of the cards? ie, so that effectively two tricks could be done with ESP cards?

For anyone who favours the sort of "psychological" explanation Derren Brown uses, you can easily adapt the routine.

For example, one round of card selection can be based on the volunteer reading he magician's body language (like a psychological card force, for example), one might be based on the magician's interpretation of the spectator's personality, etc. You could have a different explanation each time or simply say you are choosing the card you think that particular spectator will go for next.

I don't know how this one works, but if doing it for kids could you get some blank cards and some Disney stickers (micky mouse, donald duck etc) and make up your own version without the ESP symbols?

Actually - sounds like a marketable idea. Maybe do it with Jumbo cards?

Yes, you could use your own cards.

Might be nice for a theme party, if you used football teams, Ninja Turtles (apparently to make a comeback), or different types of fairies. Maybe the last one could have a story about reuniting them with their twin sisters. The cards are mixed and the little girl chooses which fairy she thinks is next (or entirely at random). When the cards are turned over, each fairy is back with her twin. You could make each one a different colour, so the differences are clear, even at a bit of a distance.

Just rambling!

Note that there's a lower-stress version of this trick which needs the ESP cards to be of a special type.

Therefore, if you wan't to make yourself a nice second set for performance (recommended) you'd need to find the right cards.

Happily, those cards are available if you look around (I think I got mine from Top Secret magic)

did someone ask if it could be jumboised or am i having a brain hemorage again, maybey another thread, anyway yes you could jumbo this trick but you would loose one of the routines egh tom

but then you could have two stands at opposit ends of the room and read the persons body languge and key words said darren brown style so dont be put off buying this nice trick because of one slightly tacky move.

so buy the trick scan and print onto glossy paper add card and laminate or is that copyright infringment :?: oh deer off to the courts i go again.

actualy you can do the last move with jumbo stock but its a nightmare best stick to second method, all i need now is a friendly printer some acrillic tiles and possibly a good lawyer.

If you like self-working (ish) mentalism and want an impressive ESP matchup effect that does not require sleights....you CAN NOT go wrong with this...beautiful.
