here's one for ya...

when you join, just a little test...but not about magic!

a quick little test of the rules and regulations -what not to ask, sell, blah blah blah...that way, the rules might sink in a little more...AND you then have the opportunity, if the ugly face of exposure appears, to say:

"well, this topic was covered in the little test that says do not ask how effects are done..."

It's a nice possibility but these boards run on a standard format so I don't know how such a script would be incorporated into the board.

I think its a great idea. That way you insure that they at least are familiar with the rules. It will also deter some people from spamming or looking for secrets because it would add another step to the process. Then again, that would probably keep out just about anyone...

Hmmmmmm let me think on this one

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have to say that this idea has been suggested several times before, the last time quite recently in fact. It isn't a practical possibility to introduce as it requires 24/7 Moderator time and attention to deal with things and we just don't have that time and availability. In addition, even if someone proves they know the rules inside out, there's no guarantee that they will abide by them so I doubt we'll be introducing such tests at the moment.
