i got the first dvd of this release...very good indeed...

a nice variety of material, a few good centre tears and useful peeks...and you get good value for money too - just short of 2 hours worth on the first one...

there's a very nice effect in it that uses a pendulum too...

Hmm. Life’s funny sometimes. The site with the pre-release buzz was also the one site where I wasn’t a member. Well, I rectified that right away. :D

Craig,

Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean a lot coming from you.

Everyone else:

My billet book is now available for sale. There were a few surprises along the way, but it has finally officially launched.

I’m a “nobody” in the world of mentalism and the e-book is priced accordingly. However, at least in my opinion, the techniques and material are incredibly strong.

Of course, I also happen to be incredibly biased. Therefore, I’ll leave it to the other members of the board to write some real reviews.

As far as Allen’s DVD’s are concerned… they’re fantastic and are highly recommended in my e-book. Buy both products!!! :D

Thanks so much,

Elliott

Billet

Postby DrTodd » Nov 27th, '06, 08:58

Just a quick heads up to everyone:

Elliott's Switchcraft is serious value for money! He has produced a 122-page e-book on switches, routines, and subtleties for a mere $19.95 (about a tenner at the moment). If you paypal, it is instantly available.

This deserves its own thread! I hope to post a more thorough review soon.

Thank you so much!! I’m anxiously looking forward to your review.

A quick note: There were a few downloads last night (NYC time) that were, unfortunately, not instantaneous. I sent those out this morning and (hopefully) fixed the problem.

Thanks again,

Elliott

Two testimonials came in and were added to the site. Keep ‘em coming folks. This is loads of fun

(At least until someone doesn’t like the book. Then, it won’t be so fun :) )

Thanks again,

Elliott

I got another fine testimonial for the site. Sweet!!!

There’s something I should mention.

After teaching the techniques, I go over a lot of cool stuff that can be done with them. Then, as examples (to get you started), I teach my own routines that demonstrate whatever concept I’m trying to teach.

You might notice something when looking at my sample routines as a whole.

That is….they mostly play SMALL.

I perform one-on-one and close-up mentalism. Therefore, my own personal material is structured accordingly.

Of course, you should view my personal material as just examples to get you started. Once you know the techniques and theory, there’s really no limit to what you can do. Most classic billet routines are designed to play BIG. If you wish, you can certainly use them. After all, there's a reason why they're classics. Otherwise, you’ll be able to easily create your own effects to play in whatever venue you prefer.

That’s all, for now.

Thanks,

Elliott
