What They Say

BRUTALLY POUND A SOLID STEEL STAKE THROUGH YOUR FOOT!

The sharp end of a normal stake is pressed against the center of your shoe-covered foot. Using an ordinary hammer or rock, you pound the stake inch by inch into the center of your foot. Each loud whack of the hammer visibly drives the steel shank deeper into your foot...until it is completely impaled. The solid steel stake is now actually imbedded into the surface beneath your foot!
Your staked foot is visible from ALL angles!
And then, while a spectator holds the stake steady, you slowly, gut-wrenchingly, slide your impaled foot half way up the solid steel shaft...and stop.
Your impaled foot is now seen to be completely penetrated from above and below by the steel shaft. Again, this riveting spectacle is visible from all angles.
You, or a spectator remove, the solid steel stake from your foot. You unlace your shoe and slowly pull out your foot, revealing that it is completely unharmed...except perhaps for a small blood-stained hole in your sock.
Stake yourself with any UNGIMMICKED screwdriver, pen, spike, nail, wood stake, knife, sharpened wooden dowel etc.
Perform Staked completely SURROUNDED... close up or on stage.
Perform Staked Inside or outside...ANYWHERE in any lighting.
Perform Staked with or without blood.
Staked does not come with a modified shoe... You must provide your own.
Complete with Staked component and instructional DVD.

WARNING: CAN RESULT IN INJURY IF NOT PERFORMED PROPERLY. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.

What I Say
Opened and had one of those "Why didn't I think of that!" moments, slotted in DVD and was taken through the whole setup and performance in an amusing and detailed way. Nothing is left out. The gimmick is well made and should last forever.
Only problem I had was with some clothing considerations - don't want to say to much but my usual chinos (I know I'm getting on a bit - will be shopping in M&S before you know it), just didn't cut the mustard.

Overall a well made gimmick, well put together DVD, but just not for me - I am in a chino stage of life and should leave tricks like this to younger dudes. Also the £60 price tag is a bit steep.

Rating

7.5/10 - I didn't use it, but thats just because it doesn't suit me, I believe that in the right hands(foot!), this could be quite entertaining.

Thanks for the review...I've thought up a nice little presentation and when I can afford it I think that I might just get this one!

The price seems a bit steep to me.

It also looks a bit ropey on the demos I've seen.

Received STAKED today. LOVE IT!!! Ive just set it up and tested it on my friends! I used some blood packs to add an extra bit of horror to the effect! One of my friends ran out the room screaming!
I would advise you use a cheap pair of shoes for this as you need to add the gimmick to the shoe.
I cant wait to shock my wife with this!!!!!

I would give this a happy 10/10 although I found that £60 I paid for it was a bit harsh!!! so I will change my 10/10 to a 9.5/10 lol lol

Nice review. Just went on to Alakazam.com to watch the preview. I think i've figured out how its done. Would i be right in assuming it can't be done in shorts? I hope that doesn't count as "giving it away".

I bought mine off ebay for £30. Its good, but definatly isnt worth more than that for me. Its a nice effect, but not for every setting
