OK, to start with this is one of those DVD's that you can download. There is a gimmick, but you make it yourself.
What's this trick about, the clue is in the title. Color fusion is a variation on the torn and restored card, but the twist here is that the card back changes colour.
The effect goes like this. A pack of red backed cards are spread face up and the spectator selects a card which is then signed. The card is folded into 1/4's and a corner is torn off and given to the spec as a receipt. The magician then rubs the card and each quarter of the card is shown to change to a blue backed card. This is very visual and very convincing. Now the blue backed 3/4 card is given to the spec and their red 1/4 fits perfectly and the signature matches perfectly. This is the medium difficulty routine on the DVD. There is also an easy one and a hard one that involves complete restoration of the card, but now blue not red. In the easy and the medium versions the cards can be handed out for inspection.
The gimmick is one that you construct yourself and is a little fiddly, though you would get quite quick at it after a short while.
Handling is not difficult and only requires basic slieghts and in the performance parts of the vid they are very natural.
The trick can be performed as a close up routine though I try to avoid being in a situation where people can really burn you.
The quality of the DVD is very good and everything is explained in detail from making the gimmick to performance tips for the routines.
It is possible to do other tricks with the same deck before you go into this trick.
I like this trick a lot, it gets very strong reactions and it very visual and looks very magical.
If you don't mind the effort of making a gimmick then i would recommend this one to both close up workers and street magicians.
The DVD= 8/10
Presentation =8/10
the trick= 8/10
Overall It's worth a go

Sounds great , I've been pondering a while about this one because the reviews are so mixed...I heard you can actually buy the gimmick refills, if that was the case I would likely go in that direction...Is this true? Can someone post a video of this trick because the actual demo has alot of cuts...

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
