Electric Touch

Postby nategician » Dec 15th, '06, 21:32

i just got mine in the mail a few weeks ago. Gotta say its one of my favorite tricks of all time. It was very expensive but i got it as a gift from my girlfriend. I love doing this trick i bring it around everyday. The temporary setup is pretty c*** (not the best) and can easily fall off if your not careful. But once u set it up permanently....AWESOME! The reactions i get from this are amazing. I'll post a video of a live performance soon.

- Water bend
- transfer of "the power"
- much much more.....

i give it a 9.5 out of 10

I would have to agree that ET is a remarkable utility device well worth the money to serious performers. I will however caution people that the shocking use could have dire consequences should one not be in the mood so to speak. I have opted to just use it as a PK tool for say the pending water effect and the static tobacco presentation. Do what you want but imho these are the safest and best uses for the product. :D

I dont really shock people, opting as airamas to do pk with it, however, have accidentally given the occasional well endowed lady a remarkable surprise when they leaned in too closely! Very funny really, although not intentional. The looks on their faces has been pure magic with me finding it unbelievably difficult to stifle hysterical laughter!

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

I got my Electric touch today, and have just got back from field testing it so to speak, i am not as worried as everyone else in trems of 'heath risks', they only say it is a risk because they just want to cover their backs.

Anyway its an excellent product, really freaks people out worth the money if you can afford it, its just useful knowing you have it on you so at any moment you can create powerful magic and know poeple will get freaked out by it.

the one thing i love about this thing is that my magicians persona is Gambit [hence the name] from Xmen, whose power is the ability to charge things with kinectic electricity, and now it feels great to have a trick that can reflect this power.

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but would some explain what effect(s) this gadget does and cost, where to buy from etc?
It sounds intriguing and slightly dangerous!

quite a few magic dealers stock it, best bet is to google it, i got mine from themagicdepot.com in america, took while to arrive but i saved about £20, expect to pay at least £100 for this device.

But trust me it is well worth it if you can use it in your magic, basically it gives you the power of static electricity at your fingertips, works with mindreading [stealing someones thought], card changes, you can make a flouresent light bulb light up. the effects are only limited by your imagination.

the only flaw i have found are that mine does make a noise kinda like a high pitched buzzing, you cant really hear it if your in a bar or a town, but is noticable in a quiet area.

hope that helps a bit.

That does help thanks. It certainly sounds like an interesting device to use in conjuction with an effect.
Does it give people small shocks? It could be used in a pseudo-hypnosis routine from the sounds of it.

i dont know much about hypnosis myself, the shock varies on where you are, what floor your on or the humidity but ive got some big shocks out of it,

theres no real way to descibe what they feel like though.

I understand that it's safe to use though?
Paul Daniels does a routine with shocks from a normal looking chair which can be bought from www.dream-concepts.com though it's quite expensive (£649).
His routine involves volunteers and when they sit on the chair they receive a shock.
I should imagine Electric Touch could be used in a similar way.
Drat! You've got me wanting one now!!!!

lol i guess it could be used it that way, as far as im aware the only warnings are to not use of pace makers and pregnant people, but i dont think it could seriously harm someone, i mean some of the time ive done it it as hurt, but its more the surprise of it happening.

if you've got the money to spare its a good buy, but beware get lots of extra batteries!!! lol

Can you shock at will? Or will EVERYONE you touch until you turn it off be shocked?

How many batteries does it take and I take it drains them quickly? (stupid question I know)
