What I say

Well I can safely say that this may well be one of the best effects I have ever purchased. Imagine having the ability to reveal spectators thoughts whether it be a word a number or a drawing. Here’s how it goes, have the spectator think of anything they want (it’s up to you whether you want to be specific). You hand them a wallet with a post it note on the inside and have them write there thoughts on the post it note. All this can be done with your back turned if you wish. Once this is done have them close the wallet, they can wrap a rubber band round it or put it in a plastic bag if you wish. You take the wallet from them and put it into your pocket, I usually put it in my shirt pocket it allows for a smooth motion. As soon as the wallet is in your pocket or wherever it is you can instantly reveal whatever is wrote on the note. Or if you wish build it up for a dramatic climax, it all depends on your audience. NOTE: Remember this, the spectator can check the wallet to make sure you can’t see into it. Once the wallet is closed it is never opened again yet you are still able to reveal there thoughts. There is also an additional effect you can perform called TRANSMITTING THOUGHTS where by you give the spectator the ability to reveal your chosen thoughts, Very clever. This effect needs no sleights, its all about presentation.

Having said that I have since found a plethora of other devices/methods that achieve the same thing only do it much better (in my most humblest of opinion).

In short doubt I will be using this one any more.

Which is your favourinte alternative?

The outlaw wallet would be a good alternative (and you get to do double and pocket writing effects as well).

I love and use my TT all the time. Having said that I would be very interested to know what Bananafish thought surpassed it in his opinion.

The outlaw wallet by far. They have just come out with the same wallet with addition of a zippered compartment. Try it and you will see that the
TT can't compare. Read the many posts about wallets in the Magic Cafe.

Thanks Bill I'll check it out. I like the TT because as far as the spec is concerned you hardly touch the pad after they have written in it and also it has elastic bands round it. Can you do this with the outlaw?

The outlaw is like the kind of wallet you keep business cards in. You open the wallet and take out a business card which you give to the spec and ask them to write something on.

They do.

You then take back the card and put it straight back into the wallet (without looking at it of course).

Shutting the wallet, you can put it away in your pocket, or onto the table or even onto your spectator's hand. Throw it out the window if you like but let me know which one so I can stand underneath with a net.

You will already know the information you need to perform whatever effect you are doing, so how you present it is up to you.

The key thing is that you spectator can plainly see that there was no way you could have seen what they wrote on the business. In fact there is no way to peek at the card because it is closed up in the wallet which isn't reopened until after the effect has finished.

A second, a more miraculous thing you can do with the outlaw, is to have your spectators list various things, such as films and then to give them marks out of 10, or a percentage. While they do this you note down the films and figures and once done, total up the scores.

Hand the card over to someone to check the total and then tell everyone that you have already predicted this number. Open up your wallet and pull out a business card, take it out and reveal that not only is the final score written on the card but all the films (chosen by your specs) and their individual scores (chosen by your specs) to boot!

This second application of the Outlaw wallet has spectator eyeballs hanging out on stalks.

For people with a low budget Businessminded describes itself as a poor mans thought transmitter. For less that 7 dollars you can't go wrong.

It has the same capabilities as the original plus a new feature the Outlaw didn't have and....

credit where it's due, the outlaw is a great product.

I have been wanting to buy a thought transmitter for a while and now you throw this Outlaw at me and forced me to juggle the two!

Get both

For shere value for money, go with the Outlaw/Panther.
