Anyone heard of Greg Wilson, he's an american magician who makes david blaine look like an amateur and Paul Zenon the most serious and straight performer in the business.
He as released a few self-teach videos which any serious performer should own.

Buy his "OFF THE CUFF" and"ON THE SPOT" videos you won't be disappointed. You'll learn some impromptu magic which as helped me for those situations where i am un-prepared and people have said "Paul show us one of your tricks then!".

The best thing about the videos apart from the great tricks is the fact that you see him perform them in live situations, so you get a measure of how powerful they are in real situations. My personal favourite is the 3 coins across which left me speechless, and got me excited at what else was to follow, as it is the first trick on "On the Spot".

I have the On The Spot video and would say it is worth it (two tapes for $80 USD). I greatly prefer fully examinable effects with little or no set up.

Impromtu tricks fit that description.

As with all videos, I tend to only like a few tricks on each.

This one has a good transposition called 3/4 Across where 3 quarters change hands one at a time and a copper / silver transposition. No trick coins and well explained slights.

I must admitt, I don't have nearly the confidence to try his pick-pocket stuff but it does seem solid.

There are other good tricks that work in real life. And yes, it is great that he shows the effect on REAL specs.

Would I buy it again? Hummmmm... probably I would. 3/4 Across is almost worth it to me.

There are probably cheeper ways to learn these types of tricks, but over all this video is a good place to learn them.
