Double stop

Postby dino50011 » Mar 19th, '07, 06:18

The Effect
After basically disecting the deck, letting spectators seemingly take it apart and control the situation, the magician simply makes a few cuts of the cards and counts cards on the table face down with a spectator, eventually revealing the spectators two chosen cards.

Cost
only as much as a deck of cards

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

this trick is a two, it takes a little procedure remembrance

Review
All i can say is, when this trick is done correctly, it is amazing to see
The only thing is its most effective with two spectators.

Overall
Wonderfull trick

I presume this is the Double Stop from Karl Fulves Self Working Mental Magic?

If not a little guidance as to where it might be found would be helpful!

Johnny Wizz.

Sure sounds like the self same one as in Karl Fulves' Self Working Card Tricks to me.
I've used it several times and even though I HATE having to handle the cards in such an overt manner, it does get results.

I think it gets results because so much goes on with the deck in the spectators hands that it seems impossible that the magician "fiddling" with it for a couple of seconds could set anything so elaborate up. False cutting before performing throws people off in my experience.
