I saw a version you can do in shorts...
Different method apparently.
I might get it soon.

Just out of interest, JB Magic are now stocking "Animated Shoelaces", which can be performed in shorts, for £12.95. I dunno, I mean how many methods can there be to perfrom this?

Well the fact you wear shorts kinda spoils (in a good way) the 1st method, doesn't it?

I like this trick and it gets great reactions.

The only thing I was not happy with was that it was apparantly a 3 second reset... BULL!! It takes about... 10 seconds lol

But that gripe only lasted about 3 seconds as the reset time is not important for this.

Simple yet effective

I got the STS a few days ago in plymouth and i absoloutley love it.

It is one of those impromptu to tricks what you can do any time by itself and still walk away leaving the spectators jaws on the ground.

The gimmick is simple and easy to prepare and even easier to use.

As I.D. said the trick is more of a 10 second reset but that is fairly minor

I'd give it 9/10

I really like this trick, I've done it a few times to different people and they just can't believe it. A friend of mine does it with both shoes (obviously not at the same time), which is cool.

self tying shoelaces

Postby roddy » Apr 16th, '07, 15:47

It's quite easy to affect to stumble which draws attention to your untied
shoelace allowing you to make some comment before doing the effect.

The effect looks very good, started to get interested in that....STS is still a good one you can go out with all the time with only a 10 sec reset. It's a good buy.

I have used two in the past... One foot with laces untied, other foot laces tied...

Once untied ones tie themselves spectators are like  do it again... Untie other lace, perform..

So simple yet so effective.

This trick

Postby AceofHearts » Jul 3rd, '07, 19:04

This trick is a decent trick when done correctly it's a jaw dropper. However, things to watch for are:
1. You can do it too fast aka making a noise
2. You can do it too slow therefore making it easy to figure out.
3. Takes practice so the above doesn't happen.
4. When your Gimmick Breaks like it did for me its hard to find a replacement part that is exactly the same with the same features.

Other than that it's a decent trick and recommend for beginners.

(Beginners)-Remember practice first for at least a day, then show family. Afterwards get recommendations, improve, then show others.
