The Effect
After weeks of designing and negotiation, Alakazam are pleased to announce that we will be offering a brand new custom designed leather wallet for use with the best-selling Heirloom trick.

This wallet has been specially designed in black leather to make performing the effect easier than ever before. And a special built-in feature allows you to show the wallet empty after you remove your prediction, elimnating any doubt in your spectator's mind!

After the phenomenal success of Heirloom, we are very excited about the new companion wallet, which will also come with additional ideas and routines that will enable you to perform a number of high-impact, killer mentalism effects.

Cost
£24.99 from www.alakazam.co.uk

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review
Having the Heirloom trick and not having a suitable wallet to use with it, I decided to plump for this, the one specially designed to accomodate it.
I was not disappointed. For the price, it's a real quality prop. It looks like any kind of normal wallet, so when you pull it out, it's not something the specs will be suspicious of.
After the production of the Heirloom photo, you can show the wallet completely empty, though the spec can't examine the wallet and neither should you let them for as far as they know, this is your normal everyday wallet.
Easy to handle and use, I'm glad I decided to go with this one. You can also use it for Kolossal Killer if you so desire and it comes with a few routines. As with any decent prop, your imagination will hopefully provide you with some nice ideas.
If you have Heirloom and are stuck for a decent wallet or want a nice Shogun style wallet for a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with this.

Overall
9/10 - would have been 10 if it could magnetically seal, making it examinable.

This is something I am considering. I have the original Heirloom Wallet and it does not perfectly conceal everything. I also have two letters in my routine. Does this new letter truly show the contets emtpy and is it the same size/design as Heirloom Wallet ? My other concern with the Heirloom wallet is that it is so big.

I didn't know there was an original and a new one. I'm assuming there is only one and we have the same wallet.
I haven't found it to be too big. Just a normal sized wallet and it does conceal the photo's very well in each little p***et.
Pulling the f**p apart does show it empty. You could conceal the second letter in the opposite compartment I suppose.

Actually the Heirloom wallet is a "shogun 2" wallet if that helps. See Freddie I told you , you would love it.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

You were right! It's fabulous and works a treat with Heirloom.
In fact, it makes the effect even easier to peform so you can concentrate more on presentation, astmosphere and storytelling.
Great! :D
