You get enough stuff to set yourself up once, and this will last a very long time (years maybe).

The items can be reused but not without a bit of work so you will need to buy some more of the items for other times maybe!

He is now selling spares so you don't have to buy the wole package, but the spares are not good to you unless you know what to do with them as explained in the intial purchase.

Good trick though I do it all the time.

I had my own spares made as soon as i bought this, 4 cost me £20.

I will probabley get the small bits from him direct as they look a bit too much trouble to make.

I have not put much thought into the hook up which I would prefer to be easier as I mostly perform this as my first trick, or when there is plenty of general misdirection going on so I can get ready, which only takes a few seconds.

It's a permanent fixture, so If you wanted to perform in different attire, then you would need to buy it more than once.

hemphandle wrote:nterlace whilst being truly amazing is probably not for me. It is astoundingly put together and I have promised myself I will dedicate time to it but I all honesty I think it will be 2009 before I think I would be anywhere near confident enough to venture out of my office and try it on the wife.

This is confusing me. Are you saying this because of the setup that's involved, or is it the actual performance/sleights you're referring to?
Everyone else is saying it's easy to perform. So is it easy to perform or not?

I do not think it is impossible however I am not a professional working magician and I think that distinguishes the men from the boys in my opinion. I have RRTCM, ECT and BoBo's finest I practise my sleights everyday. I love showing the kids a trick but I think as an amateur it is easy to undersell a trick. Now I may be wrong but I think patter and delivery arer key with this effectI think you can do it as a sreet performer or a pro in a restaurant. I hate seeing an effect being undersold (as opposed to being over-priced but that is a different thread lol) and in the home environment I would be walking around for ever trying to find the right moment to drop the bomb and can't walk around in my magic costume on the off-chance.

PROS = GO AND BUY THIS AND KNOCK THEM DEAD

AMATEURS = WATCH THE EFFECT AND ENJOY IT FOR WHAT IT IS. Although, If you are going to the Christmas party and want to impress the boss... practise, practise, practise... If you nail it ... it WILL get you a raise!

I.D. Do you think 'any ring' would be more appropriate for someone like me... and I am thinking as a stand-alone piece?

Hemphandle -

'Any Ring' is really a more of a utility device, and not an effect in it's own right; it's nice for a vanish, but won't play a huge part in an effective routine, I'd imagine.

The kicker's always going to be coming from the re-appearance, and not the vanish.

any ring is simple.. very very simple, but an entirely different effect.

I dont see how you think the sleights involved are too complicated !! There is one sleight and one sleight only, and it is the most fundamentaly easy sleight there is.

The rest are just things that happen, not moves at all, and it is all done with the use of built in misdirection. If you are not confident with being able to pull it off that is one thing, but it certainly wont be because of the sleights involved.

It is a performance piece, self working.. I would say practice to get the routine down smooth. An amateur would need around 2 weeks of practice at the very most. Then its just about having the right presentation for you.

Very Very easy.. watch the trailer, you see Richard do the 'move' and the rest is just self working once you rig up your outfit.

I bought some of the required materials and had an alterations shop knock them up.

It was £20 labour and about £6 for the other stuff.

If someone has come up with a fast one handed get ready I would be glad to know.

Is there no way without buying another device to undo the permanent fixture?

I'm confused about the permanent fixture. I take it, it's attached to your trousers/shoes. Does this mean it can't be removed from them at all?

it could be.. but that would be pointless..otherwise you would need half an hour devoted to setup each time you wanted to perform

As it stands, its a permanent setup which allows instant reset
