Effect: You light a match under a bullet it goes off and your head goes back then you have a bullet in your teeth.

Skill Level: Novice

Price: £22

Review: Do not buy this trick. It is not what you expect and deffinatley not worth £22. I think i will make a better version. Maybe slightly unfair as audience reaction is quite good. you will feel a sucker if you buy this. All in all save your money.

So sorry i was comleteley wrong. Went out and tried the effect on people and what a reaction. Forget my review above go out and get one now. I do a routine where i discuss how i bought a none functioning bullet from the army surpluss and im wanting to figure a trick out with it. but all i can do at the moment is hold a match under it to scare kids in to thinking it will go off (proceed to demonstrate) then i explain that you couldn't do this with a real (BANG) off it goes big shock on audienceand you have caught the unfortunate bullet in your teath. One problem is that sometimes you get shrapnel i think i'll wear glasses next time as it hurts

MARK: 8/10

Hi Y'All:
Read your review on bullet catch. Sounds good to me as I do a western comedy magic stage show. However, I live in the USA and don't know how to convert your currency into dollars. If you have any further info on the bullet catch it would be appreciated. Also any other ideas I could use to put into a western theme show.

Thanks.......Cowboy Magician

No you can't use a lighter so you just have to do a switch on the matches or something. but to date no one has suspected the matches of any involvement.

Sorry but I have to disagree, I use this with a lighter that I rigged up and prepared when I found the booklet of matches to Americany to use in England, just needs to be handled more carefully but is quite easy if you are wearing a pair of jeans.

Yep, I use a lighter with this too ( a plastic throw away type ) I simply stick a bit of bluetak on the lighter with the "you know what", and then ditch the lighter after the bang

not sure if an answer to this question will be allowed, but is the bullet going from you hand to you mouth a gimick, or is it just quickly done under the distraction of the bang? I'm not to sure if this is going to be worth the money. I can see the reaction being huge, but would it be better to go homemade on this one?

feel free to edit.

Home-made bullets? Not sure that would be such a great idea really...

I bought this trick AGES ago but it's been sat at the back of the cupboard for ages. It is a great little thing to pull out in the pub but it's not the sort of thing you'd carry around day to day so the occasion has to be right.

I am out in Iraq at the moment and it would be PERFECT to have it out here for the bar but I'd never be allowed to travel by air back to the UK with it as it is a BULLET!

I've found that a good presentation is to whip it out in a public bar and say that a mate of yours has just come back from overseas and gave you it as a souvenir. It's perfectly safe though as the only thing that can set it off it the percussion cap in the base. You can light a match under it and the heat won't set the gunpowder off as it is not in direct contact. Then proceed to light a match underneath it to prove your point.

Hey Presto!

As I've stated above. In the right place, at the right time, this trick is a great little performer and certainly gets results. It's simple but very, very effective.
