The Perfect 3 Shell Game
By; Magic Makers

Blurb:
FINALLY! A high-performance set of shells that handles well on the STREETS. This is YOUR CHANCE to learn this crowd pleaser and get a top quality set of shells for only $ 9.95. Highly recommended

The Effect

Why are they perfect? GREAT QUESTION!

#1: They're the first shells ever made in elastomeric resin. What's the difference? Elastomeric resin is what calculator keys are made of. It's like regular plastic, but it's just a bit more rubbery. That makes our shells easier to grip and gives them SUPERIOR feel.

#2: Our shells are molded from real New England Large Walnuts. The molds are then taken to the top shell game magicians in the world. Secret design features are added to make the shells glide, rock, and grip perfectly. In short, we take the best shells found in nature and add the special features expert magicians look for to create "The Perfect Shells".

#3: Better peas! Our peas are TACKY. That means if you drop one during performance it won't roll on the floor. Try it. Roll it, drop it, push it, spin it. Our pea just stops and waits for you to pick it up! That's a HUGE benefit for real workers who are going to be using these shells every day. You don't want to be crawling around on the floor chasing peas when you're getting paid to perform.
What You Get
3 Shells

My Opinion:

Effect:

The Classic Three Shell "Game."

Why Arent they Perfect? Glad you asked:

#1 I believe, they are knock offs of Whit’s “Street Shells" or Vernets.
They do not have very smooth movement, one can not grip them very easily, they look cheap. They are cheap for a reason, they aren’t that great. Not even decent for their price, but I would never use these for a real show, heck I don’t even use them for practice.
That “special” resin is a bunch of BS.

#2 Molded from a real walnut? Ya okay, you keep believing that. A real walnut would work better than these. These are not used by professional magicians and these are no where near perfect.

#3 Better Peas? Compare to what… a real ‘frozen’ pea. I guess they didn’t compare these to Whit’s either. These peas by MM really aren’t even that tacky, unless they’re in your hand.

#4 The directions included, really are below par, in my opinion. They don’t cover much and don’t cover it that well.

They aren’t top quality, they aren’t high performance, I doubt they are highly recommend by real street performers.

“You get what you pay for.” Is the old saying, and this stand true for these shells.

Save your money and go to Whit’s store, and buy some of his. Shells, Peas, and the DVD. You will not regret it one bit, it is well worth it. Or if you dont want to dish out the money just yet, get Vernets. They are even cheaper than MM's and work even better.

My rating on MM “perfect three shell game” would have to be a 3 out of 10. They are no where near perfect, but hey what do you expect from MM.

I have yet to purposely buy a MM product. I either get them free or they come in a package of other magic items I want.

I ended up with a set of their 'Golden Shells', thinking I was ordering the School for Scoundrels ones. The MM ones were so poor, they didn't actually work, even on a close-up mat.

Luckily, I already had a set of SfS 'Street Shells', but the poor quality (plus the clearly deliberate knock-off factor) annoyed me.

I own a set from SfS and I think they are great. I'm ordering the jumbo shell from them so after a minute or so stop and say, "If you are having difficulty following this because you think the pea and shells are too small, then let me make it easier for you to see." Then bring out the large shells and perform the effect. They still won't catch you out. This is quality made magic and MM willnever be able to produce anything of quality because they are profit minded and don't really care if you come back or not.
Cheers
