my question then is the blood reasonable? Would it actually pass for blood? It certainly wouldnt in the demo videos I saw for it. I am wondering if it looks better up close.

That is certainly no answer. The audience is never supposed to be aware of a TT. If I am spending 100$ on a trick I'd like to see/ know if it looks realistic

What happens when you cut your finger with a knife?

Why is it so difficult to get a straight answer? I would just like to know if the trick gets the point across and is believable.

You bleed.

It's a heuristic: you cut yourself, you bleed. One that most, if not all, people have stored away in their heads.

Assuming you aren't presenting this in a magical context (to begin with) then your audience witness you cut your finger and they expect to see blood; so, when they see that red blob on your finger, with the right acting of course, that is exactly what they will believe it to be.

Don't worry about it.

i,ve had some great reactions performing this, but if you really need to show them up real close because they don't believe what you are doing, don't do it - it is not eye popping unless they believe that what they have seen is real, its all about the creation of belief not just the creation of life!!
some will be totally convinced the other's will just want to know how you did it.
if you have an electric touch unit let them feel your power before using it to create life with ladybug a la Frankenstein - a good story +blood + electricity = life!!
having said that the best reaction i got was when i performed it to a complete stranger the only thing i said was 'watch' (think D.B.) ,completely blew him away - to him i was a real magician!

I'd like to know if anyone has found a way to improve the blood gimmick that is already included. Maybe add a tiny bit of liquid blood onto the gimmick? Would this work?
