Anyone else seen Paul Stockman?

Postby stepSeven » Feb 23rd, '07, 03:30

I watched this guy at Butlins in sunny Minehead last week.

His material wasn't revolutionary but his act was very slick and the crowd (and my family) enjoyed his shows.

I saw him twice (same routine) during a week down there - you really never should repeat your act! Clock a few things second time around ;)

Anyone know of this fella? Seen him around? Does he post here?

Hi,

Yes Paul has a great reputation in the business. I saw him perform in Las Vegas last year and was blown away.
You will find that the Butlins shows have to be large and stright forward. With an audience of 1000 plus there is no other way.Its easy to loose an audience of that size.
I also saw Paul at a Warners 5 star resort and imagine it is the same as the Butlins show.He held a crowd of over 2000 people. For a mentalist that takes some doing.
This guy works allot and there is no way you can change your show every night.
Some pro's have been doing the same show for years.
He has also been working in the USA with Kenton Knepper. Check out Pauls Pendulum Curse in Kentons LAsting Effects. Its really cool!

I have never met Paul but he seems like a nice guy. Not really sure where he is from but check out his web site www.paulstockman.com

Having seem him perform in a theatre show its a very different and more original presentation than the cabarety show. Appart from that I know nothing more about him.

Regards

Brad

I believe you have it most wrong my good friend.

Although I love to watch mentalism and have followed many mentalists in my time. Magic is my thing and I have been performing it for more than 35 years now.
I have many friends in the business but Paul is not one of them. Although I have great respect for him and anyone who performs mentalism. But to be honest its not for me.
Knuckle busting is more my thing. Not so much into acting.
If you know what I mean.

Anyway perhaps I did sound a little like his fan club or his brother or somthing. LOl
Being a fellow pro I dont like to see us get a hard time.
