I honestly couldn't comment because I have not seen Ammars DVD. I have been very impressed with Ammars card miracles DVD's and I would presume that he would teach coin magic just as thouroughly.
Ian CD however is cheaper (which in some cases does make a difference!) and it covers the moves very very well. It obviously is not of the same cinematic quality but Ian has really thought about the best way to show the particular moves. One other thing to think about also is that Ian is accessible and has demonstrated through the updates that are available, which are very good by the way, that he takes the teaching element very seriously rather than just banging out a CD of sleights and letting people get on with it.
Why not get both?
hang on....Ive dropped all my cards!!!

Updates?
I just bought Ian Kendall 2004 for Christmas and loved it. Pitty I did not know about Ian Kendalls own site as I paid £11:99 from Merchant of magic
Do I have to have it from an official site before i can access the updates? If not where do I get the updates?
ps I will be getting more Ian Kendall stuff
cheers

Hi Jamie,
If you got the CD from MoM then it's the most recent version that has the updates on the disc. From time to time I reauthour the CDs to add stuff or change something, and it seemed easier than writing out the password every damn time someone ordered a CD
Nice to hear you are enjoying the CD!
Take care, Ian

Bought this a few weeks ago and have to report much happiness and a deep and abiding sense of value for money!! My coin sleights are now coming on leaps and bounds (ie, I'm not losing so many half dollars under the couch as I used to). Now, if only there was a chapter on the muscle pass... hmmm

I made a long and detailed lesson on the Muscle Pass for the Virtual Sessions Year One.
Take care, Ian
